*UPDATE FOR GRAND FINAL BALLOT SHOULD CARLTON QUALIFY:-

BALLOT EMAIL WENT OUT TODAY 18TH SEPTEMBER.

Now I’m worried. I didn’t use any technique other than my iPad, a link from an email Carlton sent me, a few scribbled bar codes on a piece of paper and my credit card in front of me. I kept my fingers crossed when I was asked for a password and I got it right. Honestly all of this other stuff goes over my head but I’m impressed at the ingenuity of people’s efforts to get finals tickets.

Just one question. Where’s the countdown clock? I didn’t see one.

The yellow thingy on the top right hand corner in between menu option & cart.

Issue is with Ticketteks session timer. If you went via the link which puts you in the waiting room without going to their site initially then the timer will start when you can start selecting tickets. However what I found yesterday is if you were waiting and in another window went to the main site the session timer starts. So if say 8 minutes into that timer the main window waiting in the queue lets you through that session timer count isn't reset and you have a minute to get business done.
I went to the main site and followed the links to the finals tickets. Clicked on the link and got put in the waiting room like everyone else.

I had no countdown clock. All I had was the 10 second refresh screen countdown - 10 to 0, then start again.

I hadn't logged in to Ticketek yet, but the waiting room says that is ok - just says to have your login id and password ready.

I waited 40-odd minutes (started 9:50) like most seemed to if you weren't right at the front of the queue. So no apparent disadvantage not being logged in. The timer didn't start, or even appear, until I was in the ticket selection screen. I don't know if that is just random, or you are better off not being logged in to Ticketek?

You seem to have done the same as me and not logged in to Ticketek until prompted, when you are through to purchase screen.

Exactly the same for me in that damn Ticket Lounge but once I was in the ticket screen, that's when the countdown clock started.

There is a NOTES app on all iPads.

Put your barcodes, Ticketek link, Ticketek username & password in NOTES & hit done.

If you have more than 1 barcode, 1 line for each barcode.

Just in case we win next week & play in a semi you will be prepared.

Hi guys, apolgise if this isn’t allowed.

Is anyone selling 2 x tickets to the game on Friday.

I had my tickets lined up with a mate who has MCC. Long story short he was in Bali and didn’t do it.

Happy to pay more given the demand

For comparison, I joint at 9:56 and only waited 10 minutes. So when you join the queue doesn’t appear to matter.

IT lecturer pointed out that if you're in a phone queue and you've been waiting far longer than their advertised average response time, hang up and ring back. You've been left waiting on purpose so they can answer a lot of people quickly and keep their stats looking good.

Haha, wow. That makes complete sense and is enormously frustrating.

I wonder whether the model now is just to have a massive bunch of people out there in the ether and pick them at random, regardless of when they joined the queue. I had two devices running and had joined queue at same time. One got through after 10, the other was still in queue 25 minutes later.
That's precisely how it works and always has. There is no queue and have as many devices going as you can, and don't wait the 10 seconds for it to refresh for you. You get a fresh chance every time it refreshes.

Apologies if it has been mentioned anywhere else but Sam Edmund from SEN put in a call to the AFL on Thursday night and they are expecting a crowd of 93,000 to our game. It's going to be huge!

Can't wait.

Six. More. Sleeps.

BRING. IT. ON.

That is awesome! I am looking forward to hearing the Blues’ faithful raise the roof every time we kick a goal.

Out of interest, is the Collingwood v Melbourne game also a sellout?
