We've got over the hurdle this year in retaining our list but next year could be very interesting for us, with so many players out of contract.
Of course the TPP goes up but at a distance it still looks like we're preparing for plenty of movement.
It's too early to start one of those delist/trade threads but here's the players out of contract in 2013

Top Tier:

Judd - re-signed (1 year / 2014)
Carrazzo - re-signed (2 years / 2015)
Henderson
Betts

Next Tier:

Lucas
Bootsma
Armfield - re-signed (2 years / 2015)

Bottom Tier:

Buckley
Rowe
O'Keeffe
Davies
Dale
White
Joseph
Ellard

Uncertains: (We don't know what contracts were given to these players this year)

Watson
Laidler
McCarthy
Mitchell
McInnes
Duigan
Curnow

My memory for contract status is not that good. Harker made this list earlier in the year, Judd, Carrazzo and Armfield have definitely re-signed. Anyone else got any updates?

How has this slid under the radar?

Betts and Hendo are a concern

A few of us were aware of it, a poster a few weeks ago mentioned that St Kilda are all over Hendo.
Betts' contract has supposedly been almost done for months.
Lucas is also a priority, he has improved markedly this season.
Andy McKay has alot of work to do.

If Hendo leaves to the Saints then there must be something wrong at Carlton.

If we did trade him he would be worth their first round pick

If Hickey and Lee were worth a first round pick each, then Hendo is worth 2 or a 1st round pick plus good player.

Why would Lachie want to move to WA when he came home from the Lions so he wouldn't be homesick?

Why would Lachie want to move to WA when he came home from the Lions so he wouldn't be homesick?

Mitch Clark was going to Perth for around $650k two years ago, said he was homesick for Perth. Where did he end up for $800k?

Freo now know how much they need to spend to get a quality player. Henderson can go forward and, possibly importantly for Lyon, back.

He's the perfect KPP for them and they have the beans to make it happen this time.

Sam signs a new 1 year deal :thumbsu:

Sam Rowe has his sights firmly set on North Melbourne this Friday night, having today agreed to terms with the club over a new one-year contract taking him through to the end of 2014.

Rowe, just six games into his senior career with the Blues, was amongst his team’s better performers against St Kilda at the weekend - working in tandem with Lachie Henderson as the tall forward option and rotating with resident ruckman Matthew Kreuzer at least once a quarter.
With his short-term future now secured, the boy from Walla Walla was understandably upbeat.

“I must be doing something right,” Rowe dryly suggested after a weights session at Visy Park.
“It’s not easy getting another contract so I’m pretty proud I’ve been able to get another one. It’s quite satisfying and very rewarding.”
