I want my Carlton Show podcast. Even with the vexed Gex.
Have you listened to this weeks Two Tones podcast?
Listened to it this morning on way to the office and they interview Liddle....fantastic interview and we are in good hands with this guy....very impressive!
I implore anyone to listen if you haven't already.

Is the two tones any good?

I'm always dubious about official club podcasts.
I will admit I prefer 'The Carlton Show' as they get more into the game/player reviews. But the two tones I get an 'Old Carlton' vibe thanks to the hosts...they always have some great history and stories from within(which you dont get from the carlton show which is good as it gives both pods a point of difference).
I think this episode is the best I've heard thanks to the interview with Liddle which I got a lot out of - seriously worth a listen.

Yeah, Liddle was great on it. Thoroughly enjoyed hearing him.

Interesting mentioning Sam Gray. Always thought he was very underrated. 28 next year so maybe a bit old but a very good player

I'd like to know where the Papley talk comes from. He's contracted and Sydney would be mad to let him go

b70 mentioned he may be looking at a move back to VIC.

The AFL article mentions 'trade talk around the league' revolving around Papley's movements...so it may be known among club recruiters that Papley is gettable.

Sydney wouldn't want to lose him obviously, but there's that old adage of letting him go if he really wants out and for 'family reasons'.

I love historian Tony, I could listen to him all day

He does the ghosts of princes park tours .. my sister and I did it last year
He’s a great guy

Liddle is very impressive. Our membership, finance & sponsorship. We are in a strong position.

I heard a rumour that Tom Morris has been making up stories and is about to get the sack. Share it around.

Sad thing is that I don't think his employers would really care if Tom Morris was making up stories.

Anything to get clicks/ratings.

Cornes is the perfect example - admitted he completely made up the "Fyfe/Cripps trade".

But has got multiple media gigs.

Another positive endorsement of Teagues new structure compared to Boltons.
Not sure you can blame Bolton for Charlie dropping easy marks, fumbling, kicking grubbers etc. if you remember this started in the preseason matches. Charlie has found his form which was inevitable regardless of coach in my opinion.

Not all Bolton's fault...he had knee issues that also saw him miss a few games.

But the difference in the last 2 weeks is too stark to be coincidence...partly on Bolton.

You could argue a big reason Charlie is looking confident and in form is Teague's mentoring as well as freeing him up and positioning him closer to goal where he's most dangerous.

Yeah Charlie was dropping easy marks etc under Bolton, but overall maybe the way Bolton was coaching him and the role he was forced to play, led to him lacking confidence and being hesitant, unsure of what he should be doing. Being 'overcoached' is something we've heard players say about Bolton and it certainly looked that way with Charlie...he looked a bit confused and had none of his trademark swagger and natural flair.

Here we go again...

Doesn't seem to take into account he's getting the ball twice as much as the rest.

Just a piece based purely on stats to spark debate.

Most people know by now that stats don't tell the full story and would have Walsh as the favourite.

Though i'm still surprised about what the stats say about his kicking...watching him every week i think it's obvious he's a good kick. In the Brisbane game he had a blinder and the commentators were all raving about his disposal and how he hits targets. Not sure how Champion Data have him that low.

Also, playing midfield in a team in the bottom of the ladder will always be tougher than playing in a top 8 team like Stack & Rozee. And Walsh really gets involved in contests which brings your DE down.
