No wonder Malthouse is pleased; blueblood Blues are best at shepherds
Yes, Mick Malthouse’s Blues lead the competition for shepherds this season. The bluebloods from Lygon St are the best at the most working-class move in Australian football. Blue collar Blues, if you like.

“It’s a matter of playing your role and doing your job within the group,” Malthouse said about philosophies that some might wrongly deride as old-fashioned.

“That’s been the basic thing of my coaching here and it’s really starting to be cemented in.

“We have a role to play – play the role and the results will look after themselves.

“But we’ve got to play that role longer than what we have done.”
Is this a good thing if Hawthorn, Geelong, Sydney and Fremantle are in the bottom ten for shepherds? o_O

That Mark Stevens campaigner needs a ****ing bullet. MM's presser last night was first class apart from gving Mark Stevens (who, before he went to air, again said he was going to bait MM) tonight they edited the clip just to show MM's reaction to Stevens.

Stevens says the Carlton media dept needs to sort Mick out.

**** that!

Get after this campaigner Carlton. Get him the sack or make his life a ****ing misery.

I may be delusional, but I don't really think North are any closer to being successful than we are. If Waite goes there, it'll be for money and nothing else. Freo on the other hand can lure him with success. Doesn't Waite being on the veterans list mean we can save on part of his contract?

Loved the Jamo and Juddy interview. I don't think Judd takes himself that serious at all and I seriously can't get enough of Jamo. I think Yazz's girlfriend has been giving him serious media lessons, he's brilliant.

I don't mind Ox as a person, just think he goes a little to extreme with his footy views. Called for Melbourne to delist 20 players today. How would you replace them?

Easy......de-list first and then re-draft. :)

Development has been Melbournes problem as much as it has been their recruitment. Doesn't that sound familiar?

Great interview with them both! They both speak extremely well and didn't hold back when asked the tough questions about Jeffy and Robbo.

Interestingly, the whole Yarran body language issue from last year was because he didn't want to play in the forward line. I'm surprised he openly admitted to it. Talk about spitting the dummy!

"10. THE YARRAN GLIDE
It’s like watching a mercury ball on a skillet: lightning fast, smooth and seemingly effortless. When Carlton defender Chris Yarran is in full stride he is reminiscent of a certain Jamaican sprinter. It’s one of the great sights on a football field to see Yarran look at an opponent and think, “Na stuff you, you don’t have the wheels to keep up with me’’, before effortlessly leaving that opponent in his wake.
It’s one of the great sights in the game — unless, of course, it happens to be against your team"
