Carlton consider losing to the lions at the Gabba in a final the mark of successful season. Last year was their greatest season in 25 years according to their fans. Not sure what our piss weak club achieved last year
Some of your fans can be absolute muppets....but at least you guys have actually DONE something in recent times to semi-justify it.

Carlton fans carrying on getting lippy after the monumental achievement of one prelim final in 20 years has been ridiculously cringe all season.

Thank you Port. At the time a couple of weeks ago I was dirty that Freo didn’t win, but have since realised;

  • Carlton’s pre-season will start later than it should
  • Their draft pick won’t be as good
  • Tonight’s first 50 minutes will leave some mental scars

Friendly reminder that in the 2024 season
Collingwood: 9th
Carlton: 8th
Brisbane: 5th
You finished 8th and lost… congratulations. Your list is peaking and finished above a little over 50% of the competition. What a club.

If you make finals and don’t win one it’s a waste of time. Finals footy is a different game and weeds out the weak teams.

That's stupid - this has been a disappointing finish to the year but making finals is not a waste of time. At the very least you expose young players to that environment - a few got their first taste of it tonight. Should only motivate them to want to be better next time.

A decent enough effort in the end considering the injuries and our slow start. We didn't win the flag but we did win the thread, and we didn't lose by ten goals either.

Carlton are better than Collingwood and it'll be the same next year as well.;) Go Blues In Vossy We Trust!

That’s a positive outlook to have. The equally valid possibility is that a loss like tonight (60-0) will leave scars that will be hard to shake in future years, especially when interstate.

Not really a positive outlook it's just facts. That's a bit extreme imo - this club has gone through so much crap that you'd think most of them are pretty trauma-immune at this point

Carlton might have finished ahead of Collingwood on the ladder, but was it really worth the bragging rights ?

They just got humiliated in an elimination final. Meanwhile Collingwood have a 2 week headstart on their vacation time
