Good win for the bombers. They came to play, and thoroughly deserved the win, what a crazy last quarter. Always a fun week for the winning supporters out of an Essendon v Carlton game.

Glad that the Essendon kid that got cleaned up early seems to be ok, and Lloydy and Juddy, that could have been much, much worse.

Definitely a reality check, hence why our run prior to the Collingwood game had been W, L , W, L, W. It was only Collingwood that allowed us to win 2 games in a row. Realistically though, this is what you get in the development years. Some good & some bad, but unlike the last couple of years, we know our boys will give themselves every chance of getting back into a game. Unfortunately you can't win every time, when you are coming from behind.

No offense to you and your club but I would tip Melbourne to beat you.

Judd's clash with Lloyd in the 1st quarter had the doctors telling him he wasn't right to go on and play and had almost no touches after that moment.

Carlton historically lose games were favorites in because we don't care enough to try, we turned it on early in the 4th and as soon as you kicked a goal we stopped even though we were in front.

Essendon came to play against a rival today and Carlton came to play against an Under 13's side it is as simple as that. You played well but we should have taken care of you by 50+ points if we were switched on like we have been to beat port and the pies.
