Carlton trades and delistings

Bump.

I want Hall at Carlton.

Would a third round pick do it?

Hes going anyway. Would any other club offer anything of better value (i.e. the dogs offer a second rounder)?

Why would we give up anything if we could get him in the PSD?

He's not that important to us that we need to give them anything in return.

If any club trades for him then they can have him.

PSD or nothing.

what happened to Jake edwards this year, i thought he was alright, is he not a better option at CHF than cam cloke:confused:

Too small for CHF. Also too shit.

I know ill be blasted for this but I hear Carlton are leading the race for Brent Staker

I hope your hearing is ****ing horrendous.

No veterans again next year so we will have 38 on the main list and 8 rookies.

We will use picks 11, 27, 43 and 59.

Not sure whether the re-rookied players from last year can get another year having been re-rookied. I will assume that Ellard having only the two years can get a third and Jacobs having already had 3 years can not remain a rookie.

However with a couple of Irish lads due to join us, we should elevate the long term rookies or cut them loose.

Garlett might be a nominated rookie again next year with one more spot open to whoever proves themselves.

Elevate: Jacobs, Joseph, Ellard

So that is 7 spots we need to clear, possibly 8 with a late draft selection or a PSD spot.

So if I had to pick 8, I have to bear in mind our lack of talls and hope we can find replacements in the draft.

Delist: Bannister, Edwards, Fisher, Hartlett, Anderson, .... geez, I just can't do it.

Maybe just the 3 draft selections and no PSD.

All comes down to balance and who is under contract.

Draft some older blokes and use the PSD?

I think I'd rather keep Anderson than Ellard on the list.

l do not see Ellard being elevated to the senior list and l think there is a fair chance Jacobs will be traded or part of a trade for a more specific need e.g a decent key position player e.g CHF or CHB which we badly lack which was evident again this season.

To be fair I would bet its Staker trying to meet Carlton than the other way round.

I couldnt imagine any deal where Kennedy will return to the Blue that WC would accept.

I doubt the Blues will trade Yarran either, and I think some of you are too quick to judge a guy in his first year...

I'm not so confident we will use the fourth pick ODN.

So I'd say 6 and possibly 7 with a PSD pick

Fisher and Anderson are contracted for another year. From what we understand Cloke has got another year now too.

Bentick, Banno, Hartlett, Edwards, Wiggins ?, Hadley?..........Johnson?

These guys are out of contract and aren't at the head of the line for selection.

Hadley would stay ahead of a fourth round pick, and Wiggo might just as a stop gap.....Johnson would be unlucky given he has only just arrived and clearly has some degree of talent in there somewhere.

Carlton should listen to both the WA clubs for a trade with Yarran.
Freo and WCE have high picks which would work well for the Blues in the last uncompromised draft.

Rumours about Yarran being homesick and other talk has been mentioned too many times to be totally discounted.

yarran cant be traded in his first year.

Their are rules against it.

Otherwise, i would be open to it......IF HE REALLY WANTED TO GO HOME.

Andy Maher said this morning that Barry Hall has all but signed with Carlton.

Just reporting the words...

If this is true (SEN disclaimer attached) then I would go so far as to say I honestly reckon we are a 50/50 chance for a Flag in the next 2 years.

As long as he hasnt turned to shit in the past 6 months/ have a total brain fart during the next 2 years and get himself rubbed out for half a season.

Trade Bentick and Fisher to Essendon for a 3rd round and 4th round pick and maybe a player instead of the 4th round pick

IF Carlton wants to trade steven Browne (i hope not)
They Can trade him and Ellard to WC for Mckinley and a pick or maybe a player.

Gone:
Bannister
Edwards
Pfieffer
Hill
Bentley

Trade to Port Adelaide/Adelaide for a pick if they want him or player
Hartlett

If Anyone wants
Wiggins
Chris Johnson
Cameron Cloke
