Has anyone heard the rumour that Collingwood will offer Carlton, Mark McGough and Heath Scotland for their priority pick ( Collingwood to use this to gain Nick Stevens from Port Adelaide).

Hope you laughed when you heard that one!

Yes, Bluemike I would rather we take a young kid with the priority, I actually believe Riley Dunn is better that Tenace or walker. He is a tough inside player with great leadership qualities, he was inspiring when addressing the Vic Country team at 3Qtr time against Vic Metro.

Feel free to take Dunn! We will happily snap Tenace up at 3!

And if Carlton even considered that trade.... :p

****.

That's a shocking trade. Two blokes who are fine midfielders, but nothing spectacular, for the second pick?

Maybe we'd accept Lonie and Scotland and McGough and something else... maybe...

But we'd be offered far better deals for pick two from other clubs.

stupid trade, but nothing is beyond carlton i spose. i seriously doubt, however that carlton would trade there priority pick, looking for a quick fix to there problems wont work imo. carlton have to start rebuilding and they will need the priority pick to be able to do that.

I thought Carlton would hold on to all their Priority-Picks and recruit players for the future of the club.

Trading off for a quick-fix is something I can't see Pagan and the recruiting team doing.

Pagan has the task of rebuilding the Blues after they held on to too many aging players (Bradley, Silvani and the likes) for too long. Where did that land them ? Wooden Spooners and 15th this season.

Recruit young, build the team up from youth and the wins will start to come back to the Blues.

The Saints young recruiting policy is starting to pay off, with players like Ruwoldt, Clarke and Koschitzke proving to be the emerging stars of their side.

Likewise at Fremantle, their young players who they recruited a few seasons ago are starting to come into senior form. Players such as Pavlich, Haselby and Woods.

Plan for the future Carlton, it's your only hope.

Agreed....... Carlton are happy with the progress of the young kids and will continue to draft more........ The whisper is that they will figure heavily in the pre season draft.
