Nowadays kids cannot do anything without it being caught on camera for all the world to see and judge. This could continue to haunt "the bully" for the rest of his life. Imagine his future kids stumbling across this.

He chose to be on camera smacking an innocent kid in the face; he doesn't deserve any sympathy as a result.

I hope it haunts him for at least the next few years, might force him to realise what a little prick he is and actually become a decent human being.

Whoa, the ritchard haters need to chillax (lol, how annoying is that word).

Seriously though, i was just sparking a conversation about 'how things have changed and the consequences of this'.

Do you think he was born in the gutter with bogan parents?

That kid who gets slammed looks like a total prick, the kind you see alot around school age kids these days. Small but very cocky, think's he's hilarious when acting like a prick etc. Probably hangs out with a heap of bigger guys as well.

Dont condone violence but the kid is obviously a ********.

There is self defence and there’s body slamming someone onto cement.

Thank god Casey got suspended too. Such a sickening act should not go unpunished.

That depends, if Casey was more than aware of what he was doing then yes he deserves to be punished if simply to warn him how dangerous his actions were. To me however it looked simply like a child that had no idea how to defend himself and his slam was simply the only thing he could think of in an obviously distraught state.

The bigger boy has the body mass but not the mental capability to fend off the smaller boy without the use of violence. Had the bigger boy simply fended every attack, he would have displayed maturity at a young age. Rather than congratulating him for reacting with excessive force, he should be encouraged to take up a disciplinary form of martial arts.

...

This young boy was put into a very stressful and scary situation at no fault of his own. The poor boy had others watching - even taping whilst being ridiculed and assaulted.

Put simply the boy was under duress - I wouldn't punish him but I would council him on other ways to deal with bullying.

I'd put a thousand dollars on it.

To the people saying that there's self-defence and then there's body-slamming, I understand your sentiments, but what was Casey supposed to it in that moment without any martial arts training? He stood his bloody ground for the first few moments without fighting back, and even tried to feign the shots to the body, and it was bleedingly obvious that the rat was not going to stop. I genuinely want to know what your 15 year old self would have done in Casey's shoes. If you think walking away or using any sort of words was going to stop ratface from hitting him and his bogan mates from filming it, then you're kidding yourself for the good of political correctness.

Never said the bullied boy didn’t have the right to defend himself – he did – but what he did at the end was beyond over the top.

If I had done such an unbelievably reckless act I would expect to be held accountable for my actions – as should Casey.

What would have everyone said if he had been put into a wheelchair or even died?

What do you suggest he should've done?

I'd say it would've been his own ****ing stupid fault.
