I agree, if the kids we rate don't drop to our picks we should grab him. He should be a priority for us somewhere along the line.

i think for geelong it came down to a choice between promoting Grima or Longergan, and there was no way the couldn't promote Lonergan. Geelong also have a massively tight salary cap, and another club may have offered him more money which geelong couldnt match forcing them not to promote him. theres no way he wont be on some form of afl list next year, and we're not exactly busting at the seems with kp's so he'd be worth a look at for sure

I would be more than happy if we snared Grima in the PSD. I have a feeling though he might be taken before that late in the National Draft.

Forgetting about Richmond? Only way that's gonna happen is if we Richmond agree to a player first, ala Carlton with Ackland last year, or said player places an excessive price on his head.
Obviously it will only be announced after Richmond has picked someone. Richmond will pick someone, confirm it, and then out comes Carlton's recruit.

Yes, but if you were a player of any sort of quality whatsoever you would demand that Richmond commit to you before you left your current club, otherwise you could find yourself stranded.
Its only the duds of the world left over that would take that sort of risk.
Richmond with Pick #1 would be hoping for someone better than Ackland, but even he only signed up to Carlton after we committed to him. If Richmond cannot secure a player then yes, we would be in strife with the rumoured player of interest (who isnt Embley). That player would need to nominate and then yes, Richmond could grab him.
Miller has to be good for something doesn't he? Or will he just put in an offer to whoever we go for and then try to tell his fans that he did his best but no cigar?
