My one query on him from VFL and AFL exposure so far, was that his pressure game and intensity could be below the standard we need.

Today he's been an animal. This was the missing piece. If he brings this intent every week, he won't be dropped again.

And Humphries being able to hit angles on the left foot and right foot off the half back gave us so many options coming out of defence. Not afraid to take a mark. Loved watching him last week, was even better this week.

And while we got smashed in the hit outs what we got from SDK everywhere else was huge. Ideally in future we can get a Conway/SDK ruck combo because SDK is good value around the field. He had one moment off half back where he got the ball and could have just lumped it down the line instead he dummied one of the Hawks mids and found someone free on the wing. Not many rucks do that, hell even a Blicavs doesn't do that.

Good on Stewart in the post game saying that Scott went to him about playing midfield and that Stewart said he was up for it no point toiling in a position which wasn't working. Same could be said for SDK where he saw it wasn't working for him so mixed things up.

Credit to the coaching staff. Dekoning and Stewart into the middle is a brilliant move. Also not playing Henry, Neale, Rohan and Cameron in the forward line at the same time (except for the last ten minutes) was a good idea.
