I think they have enough talent on their list to make finals. Still a lot of quality players in their prime or still getting better.

Confirmed he is playing the whole season. Is building his own house in Echuca. That’s what the uncertainty was about. Unsure what impact that will have on him and the swans.

I’ve heard that they’ve recruited a group of mates from Melbourne (getting paid well) that are only going to play around 8 games then are all pissing off on a Europe trip together? Not a real great investment!

Recruiting a group of mates is a great idea I feel rather than 5 blokes who don’t know eachother.
I agree, even if it helps them win a few games it may help them recruit in the future. Success creates more success

I agree. These Melbourne boys found a buyer who can fund their Europe trip off a lousy 8 games.
They've had plenty of guns go up there lately and being terrible, can't see any improvement

They have 3-4 decent locals, it’s near impossible to build on that.

I think they will be competitive this year. Their top end is as good as any clubs that are expected to miss out on finals. Did they really get smashed much last year?
The last 2 years they had a plethora of guys with state league experience a good coach and finished bottom and second bottom, where's the improvement coming from?
