The beauty of the drive and ambition she has to "do a good job" is a great thing for us.

The reality is unless they (her and Sonja) win a flag then people will talk about them as being unsuccessful (even tho they are already successful just managing the joint.) And no doubt she knows this and no doubt it motivates her.

Just another level of drive and motivation that will propel us toward no.5 and beyond.
Im sure we just picked the best person for the job, so that in itself gives us the best chance.

The cheer squad has been really low level energy last I was attending games.

They're too nice and passive. We need some bastards in there to be obnoxious with never say die attitude

I know we're a small club but we can make decent improvements here if we put the brains into it

As mentioned, that could be this lot a couple of bays across from the cheer squad:

North Melbourne Closer To A Flag

The old coterie groups, the Northerners and the Vice Presidents died years ago. Somebody is trying to bring one of them back but it will be an uphill climb.

The Shinboner Coterie was never intended to be a game-day experience.

The Match Committee coterie, as I understand it, is the most incredible game-day experience for any footy nuffy with enough coin but it's very exclusive and obviously expensive.
Was undermined and allowed to die by the Club. Unforgivable.

It's interesting that you say that. There are a few people from the old Vice Presidents coterie who would argue that the Vice Presidents was undermined by the Northerners and forced to merge/die. The difference between the Vice Presidents functions and the Northerners functions was like the difference between a party at Joey's apartment vs a party at Monica's apartment.

One year, before I fall off the perch, I’d love to do the MC coterie.

We might need to work on the demographics of the cheer squad to get those chants going properly.

Let's stop beating around the bush ay, clearly what we need is our own tango man.....anyone willing to step up (to the all-you-can-eat buffet)?

I'd find it entertaining if they could fire the make some noise guy out of a cannon*
To be fair to the cheer squad the last few years haven't exactly been that inspiring.

*Health and safety rules be damned just on this one occasion.
Its fine, just shoot em to space, never have to worry abput a net.

It’s a stance that not everyone agrees with and that’s ok but showing it for every game is inappropriate and tedious.
You realise that Clarko has this investigation going on right? But lets remove that thing cos you don't like it anyway.

I mean who gives a **** about how our indigenous captain would feel about that let alone the optics during this investigation...

Why stop there….

Get Clarko to put the war paint on and blow into a didgeridoo before every training session.

Seriously….what I posted has nothing to do with a players ethnicity or a sham of an investigation to tarnish a coach’s career.

But you go down that rabbit hole if ya like.

So what you're saying is you don't want indigenous culture having a place in modern Australian life.

That's fine I guess. Be a campaigner.

Fire the make some noise guy and the cheer squad out of cannons timed with the cannons in For Those About to Rock.

Good wholesome entertainment that would get everyone pumped!

Didn’t say that at all.

Keep the presumption stuff to yourself.

Yes you did.
Ditch the forced 'welcome to country' indoctrination videos before games.
What the **** else are you saying?

Ditch the "forced indoctrination".

Ie ditch the indigenous culture having a place in modern Australian life.

Does it offend you? Is that why you don't want to see it in the world outside your door?

What else am I saying….

You cut out the other part of the post to better suit your rebuttal.

I never posted - ‘ditch the indigenous culture having a place in modern Australian life’. nor meant it.

Surely I shouldn't have to explain that suggesting WTC being ditched from most afl games & being ditched completely from Australian life are not one in the same thing.

You’re just using what I posted to have a righteous erection on an internet forum.

The Welcome to Country is a reminder that we are enjoying footy on land that was taken without treaty and was never ceded, and listening to it is a sign of respect. We should get that reminder and show that respect constantly, as part of our everyday life, not just once a year. That’s not a minority view and NMFC and the AFL are far from the only large organisations that have made it a habit. Pretty clearly when you look at the new buildings at Arden Street that the club is heading towards more recognition, not less.

This week Jen must be feeling like she came on board at the perfect time - everything’s coming up North Melbourne.

You really don't see that they're the same thing?
