I like him as a player but just fear the draft price that we will have to pay to secure himPeople who dont like Cerra should prepare themselves. He aint staying at Freo.

If he chooses Richmond over Carlton, at this stage it will involve 2 picks of ours and one of theres.I like him as a player but just fear the draft price that we will have to pay to secure him
No issue with that given he’s only 21 years old.If he chooses Richmond over Carlton, at this stage it will involve 2 picks of ours and one of theres.
Love your thinking, especially if he can be our next Prestia but stay healthyJust cause he would cost a first round pick why is it a no thanks ?
Former pick 5 with all the training gone into him by Freo to this date !
Sometimes I think some overate draft picks , how many 1st round draft picks don’t turn out that flash anyway.
We have 2 of them atm & maybe another late one if CCJ chose to leave !
I’m not saying a definite yes , but I’m more willing to wait to see what our picks are first !
It’s not like he is 28 , he has years of footy in front of him

I would love an in and under middy tbh. As much as I want to see Sparkle and the Cherry on top walk into our club, which is giving me a chubby, I’m sick of us getting smashed on the in side so my query is why can’t we have that in and under for the bash and crash. Too many games get away from us in the past for that particular reason.

I reckon we have the players now. Our stoppage work is just atrocious. We can fix that in the off season.Cerra's kicking will be nice, but a big, clearance beast is a MUCH bigger need right now.
Green or Dunstan. Who we getting?Cerra's kicking will be nice, but a big, clearance beast is a MUCH bigger need right now.
Narkle adds a lot there - depth wise at least. And I like his ability when he can show it.
It'll be interesting to see how RCD and Dow go next year on on. At the least they both have inside ability. We might have a good contested ball group in 2 year time. The issue is right now. Cotch on the slide, Meatball only fit 1/2 the time.
Amen brotherI've said previously that I believe that the likes of Cerra and Narkle would be better pick ups for us from a list structure point of view instead of someone like Green.
Firstly, IMO the cost is going to be about the same to pick up the 2 of them compared to just getting Green. GWS aren't going to let Green go cheaply especially when he is contracted for another 2 years, whereas the likes of Cerra and Narkle are coming out of contract and their clubs don't really have any leverage because of that. There will be a bit of to and fro in terms of negotiations, but I expect both deals to be quite straight forward.
Secondly, IMO Cerra and Narkle are a better fit for the way we play. Both Cerra and Narkle come across as hybrid mids who can play both inside the contest and on the outside as well. If you look at our midfield group they all come across as the same albeit at slightly different levels of impact. For example Prestia and Cotchin are better on the inside, but can also hurt on the outside, where as Martin Edwards & Bolton are more damaging outside the contest, but can still win their fair share inside.
Green on the other hand is more of a pure inside mid who does his best work at the contest but doesn't seem to hurt the opposition in general play, I'm not saying he wouldn't be a great addition to the team especially if we were to change tact and become a more of a win the clearance orientated team rather than relying on forcing the opposition into turnovers through dirty clearances.
100% we are getting smashed every week in the clearancesCerra's kicking will be nice, but a big, clearance beast is a MUCH bigger need right now.
* Cough* Cough*Cant believe anyone wouldn't consider it for a first round pick. Even day of the week for me.
The way were going our first alone should be just about enough. Probably another sweetener as well. No chance cats 1st alone gets it done.
If jack Graham played a game like cerra yesterday we'd all be frothing over him. Cerra will be a gun and adds something we don't have to the mix.
Why not? Top 10 isn’t some magical cut off which guarantees you Dustin Martin.if our pick sits in top 10 then we cant use that on Cerra
Because The kpp is what we need and there is a big drop off after the first 12 picksWhy not? Top 10 isn’t some magical cut off which guarantees you Dustin Martin.
It's a non contested midfield game now. We need mids that can kickBecause The kpp is what we need and there is a big drop off after the first 12 picks
Like who ?Because The kpp is what we need and there is a big drop off after the first 12 picks
would take Niel Erasmus, Rachele, Mac Andrew and especially Gibcus over CerraLike who ?
There are only 2-3 that may go top 10
Darcy (father son doggies which no team has access)
Mac Andrew (doubt he goes top 10 seems a project player thats 70kgs)
Gibcus (Genuine top 10 chance)
KPP that will be available after #12
Williams / Vanrooyen / Amiss / Bazzo
we could easily take Vanrooyen & Bazzo with 2 of our picks inside 30
12 minutes into the 3rd2 minutes to half time
Adam Cerra has 12 touches against Brisbane

4 handballs
2 marks
