Swans have three academy players who are likely to go top 25.

Not sure they want that deal.
Oh I understand that . Its that your fellow supporter thinks we should have to pay significantly more because we have more/better picks is my issue .

Warner's value is his value and teams shouldn't have to pay more or less because their finishing position.

Eg your mate huski said we would need a top 10 pick + future top 10 pick insinuating our first 2025 and 2026 .

But pick 3 would probably buy a late top 10 pick and future pick .

They can find a better deal with someone else.

Oh wait, they won’t be able to. So what do they do…hmmmm

Again someone saying that swans’ good problem to have is somehow west coast’s problem. Swans having academy kids is not some burden west coast has to bear.

You need to trade something of value or useful.

We have things of value. And more than anyone.

Fact that Sydney have to use it on talented academy kids doesn’t make it useless. Knock on effect for them

It’s not wc problem they don’t have untalented academy kids this year. My heart bleeds for this injustice.

These northern academies and there free access unlike other clubs restricted access to there academies is sure paying off for the AFL

Have you negotiated anything in your life?

The art of negotiation is the understanding of the other side.

For the best midfield- forward in the AFL can you come up with comparable trade within the last 5 years?
Not sure I agree with that but I’ve said all along I think the deal would be Warner Bros, 17 (and possibly Sheldrick) for 3 and F1. Seems to upset parts of both boards so probably in the ball park.

Bolton deal is probably the best and perhaps only precedent.

Warner isn't even the best mid/forward in his side

Heeney is better , gulden is on par not as good around goals but probably the best field kick in the league

Shai Bolton is also up there but is more of a forward/mid

A uncontracted warner vs contracted shai Bolton is a very good trade comparison.

Warner is a more valuable player but Bolton had to be paid overs in trade capital due to being contracted

its a good comparison.
If WC finish bottom 3 that pick alone should be fair value and maybe a 3rd round pick.
Hawks 1st(9-11) and WC F1st (5) is a very generous offer.

Yes it is

The Swans are not going to agree to a trade that will have the pick swallowed up in a bid
Eagles will have a top 5 pick and swans will demand and get it along with another later pick

If both Warner & Bolton available to the eagles for pick #3
which would you take
Warner but its close they are both very good players .

Bolton is more the Cherry on top player perfect for freo as they have already got a very good midfield.

Can you honestly tell me that a contracted player is worth more in a trade than a uncontracted player

There is your answer on which player is worth more in a trade

2025 1st & 3rd is a good deal for both clubs
