It is a very strong, accountable decision.

This is the biggest surprise in Ken's 11 years. Maybe only surpassed by his switching to Pepsi Max this season - didn't see that coming.
It's so out of character. What's going on??
I must admit that hate mac & cheese too ... I love an al dente pasta though, with a rich sprinkling of Pecorino Romano cheese!
Like a good chef, you need to re-imagine the stale old classic into a gourmet dish. If McEntee keeps the same trajectory of progress going, he will be a real star in 2 years time. McKenzie is another that come to mind ... someone that was dumped on, but is now our best-22 backman.
Another uncharacteristic move by Ken.
That sounds about right.Big footy users: "HINKLEY NEEDS TO DROP JONAS"

Fixed that for you, and yes, correct.Big footy users: "NOTHING HINKLEY HAS DONE IN HIS 11 YEARS AS A COACH INDICATES THAT HE'D EVER BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO DROP JONAS"

Lycett has been good the last two weeks and deserves to stay in but just as importantly I don't want Dixon being used as a ruck, we need to get games back into him but without risking banging up his body more than needed.I want to see Finlayson/Dixon main ruck and drop Lycett instead.
Basically ensures that we have 3 good forward talls at all times.
The captain playing SANFL and the coach cheerleading on the bench.
This was the plan all along guys.
It is now clear Hinkley ain’t in charge, rather is now a figurehead. This would never have happened in the past 10 years.Port Adelaide captain Tom Jonas has been overlooked for AFL selection this week despite being available.
Jonas will play in the SANFL in his return from his second suspension of the season.
Coach Ken Hinkley said on Thursday it was a big call but Jonas knew the decision was good for him to get some form.
Hinkley could not guarantee it would be just a one-week SANFL stint for the Power captain, saying it would come down to how the veteran and the AFL side played.“It’s a significant call, but it’s a call of a team that’s in good form,” said Hinkley, whose side was on an eight-game winning streak.
“We’re in really good form, Tom’s missed a bit of footy now over the last month.
I will say if Koch and the board decided 2023 was a transitioning year but we couldn't tell the world that it would be Hinkley's last year, Josh Carr would be making the decisions, Hinkley would be a boundary rider, the younger guys would run the team and the older guys would be phased out, even the captain, than I would say they are doing a really bloody good job.The captain playing SANFL and the coach cheerleading on the bench.
