Dixon is expected to play this Saturday, as is midfielder Zak Butters, who has been cleared of serious injury following scans on his hip.

LOL
Lol they literally forgot which made up injury he was supposed to have

I feel a little sorry for Burgoyne this year, he's come in a couple times and once as sub but never got more than a week.

Admittedly his hasn't looked upto it but I'd like to see the coaches show a bit more faith, as his end to 22 was excellent.

There has been a little bit of hate for Jase. He's only played a handful of games and is super young and some have written him off.

I definitely have time for him.

I have no idea what's going to happen this week but there will definitely be some big decisions at selection. We need guys like JHF who actually relish the challenge if we are going to win. Can't help but feel like we had the Carlton game pencilled in as a potential circuit breaker a little while ago. I don't necessarily agree with it but feels convenient. Collingwood would know that a spanking this week would go along way to having us on toast in the finals. We need JC to get stuck into the boys and generate some of that mongrel back this week.

You guys gonna risk playing Butters to keep his Brownlow chances alive, or err on the side of caution, with Finals in mind?

There are no injuries when Hinkley is at risk of criticism.

It appears that we're all hands on deck and if players are injured and in best 22, that's where they'll stay. Higher risk than reward but we don't have a choice. If you guys pants us, our psyche going into September is completely tattered

It’s high stakes. Hinkley will cop plenty of criticism if Butters plays and breaks down.

I personally hope he’s right to play and goes well. Watching Butters and Nick Daicos working their magic in close proximity of each other will be great viewing.

Serious, or tongue-in-cheek?
A competitive loss would hardly be disastrous.

Besides, we don’t thrash anyone. For most of the season we’ve only played one really good quarter per game and have treaded water for the rest of the time.

No he won't. If it happens it will be used as an excuse for a loss.

I think there are more similarities between Rozee and Daicos tbh. Watching Butters is entirely different, though that is no slight on Daicos.

Not sure about Butters, but we will certainly roll the dice with Mackenzie even if he's wheel chair bound & has no sensation in his legs. You can be sure that you won't get the same luxury Carlton got of kicking a cheap bag on Jonas this Saturday night.
