Sam Hayes only as a last resort same as yesterday. He's better than no ruck at all but gee it hurts the team when our ruckman isn't fit enough to last past the 3rd quarter.
Lycett has been subbed off three times this year.

Last night was the first time Hayes has ever been subbed off in his career, and it was because he had a shoulder injury that was supposed to keep him out for three more weeks that he was battling through for the good of the club, only for shitheads like you to show gratitude like this.

Lord played a team role to disrupt the intercepting marks of the GWS talls. His first thought was to body them out of position and he did it pretty well. I wish he'd tried to mark it more often but he seemed to be following a team instruction.
Yeah, this isn’t what happened hey.

His direct opponent was Buckley who had 5 marks. Lord had 2 1%ers and was only within 10 metres of the ball on four or five occasions. He didn’t “play a team role” he just failed to have an impact at all.

I’m all for giving young KPPs time, and it’s nice to keep him for structure, but he looked absolutely lost out there on Sunday

Yeah definitely wasn't Lords best game.

I wouldn't mind them giving Visintini a go in his role if he is fit.

Keep it as is.

Boak to sub.

Maybe Danté for Sam if Sam doesn’t get up and Danté is fit.

We are kind of at our depth now. Mead, Bonner, Burgoyne, Dumont - these are the guys on the side lines.

Let Danté and Lycett freshen up. Get some more SANFL game time into Teakle.

Emergencies:
- Evans, Bonner, Burgoyne, Pasini, Danté(if fit) and Jackson

Haha cmon he's just about been subbed out of every game he's played!

Poor McEntee been bashed from day 1 despite producing much more in half the time.

Mate this is literally the first time ever he's been subbed off. This is not my opinion, it's a verifiable fact. Have you just resorted to telling flat out objective lies to bag Hayes now?

Wasnt the giants game the first time Hayes has played where the sub hasnt had to happen injury

Source is bigfooty. Started the day he was drafted because he wasn't a tall key position player.
No, I mean do you have any statistical things that can back up your claims about mcentee's performance.

McEntee has only kicked two more goals than me since the bye. He hasn't produced 'much more' than my fat arse sitting in the stands eating a hotdog, let alone Hayes.

Surely it's been more than once? If not subbed off then it's a lot of time on the bench resting in the 2nd half.

Sam hayes us definitely ahead of Teakle, but I’m not sure about Visentini. Both had reasonable games, maybe visentini is slightly ahead if fit because he is a better runner. On a warm spring day that could be crucial.

Visentini for Lord?

Two rucks and not much less input than Lord?

Our success this season has been built on a dominant midfield and high pressure in the forward half. Mcentee important in that forward pressure.
Ok cool, can you provide his tackle stats, pressure acts and one percenters? You can find these stats on the net. If you could also please provide a comparison on those stats vs. Any other small forward in the game, take your pick as to which player. Only condition is they need to have played atleast similar games to Mcentee.

Find one that is favourable to Mcentee. Happy to wait.

I can't be ****ed doing that. I just use my eyes during the game. Yesterday for instance saw him do some handy harassment pressure acts in the forward line that resulted in turnovers and goal scoring opportunities.

Maybe I'm wrong here but the modern game is more team orientated than in the past where players are instructed to sacrifice their own game for others to score or accumulate possessions.

He obviously provides something in a team sense.

I compared him to Schoenberg and Miers, output on all stats is like half of what they provide.

I'd prefer we lose this game. Secure 4th spot and guarantee 1st final vs Collingwood at MCG without Daicos & Moore.

That being said, if Collingwood beat Brisbane on Friday and we happen to win without any major injuries I won't be upset. I'd just rather play Collingwood in a quali than a prelim or GF.

The only way you win is to enter the contest wanting to win. I want us to win every game we start and I hope the players share that approach. **** Collingwood why should we worry about those tossers? Win every game we start from here on in and we will go top!

If you do not want to play in Grand Finals you are supporting the wrong club.

I get your logic, but just because you play Collingwood in week 1 of the finals doesn't mean you will avoid them for the rest of the finals series. 1v4 on the ladder can still be a possibility on grand final day.
Yeah totally, but it'd go a long way to get the monkey off our back from round 2, and would be a huge factor if we were to face them in a GF after winning a quali at the G.

Totally get the rest of your post though and agree top 2 would be best case scenario... I'm just use to aiming below that to avoid a reality check.

Who do you suggest would give us a better chance? The guy who singlehandedly lost us the 2020 prelim by letting Toby Nankervis go in dry, the three game teenager, or the guy whose direct opponents play the best game of their career every time he takes the field?
I’m not going to get into a deliberation with you or anyone re my opinion on Hayes.

But! GWS ruckmen Kieren Briggs, who I’ve never even heard or seen before Sunday’s game is the same age, played 12 more games, 4cm less in height gave Hayes a Jolly Rogering at the centre bounce.
