28k tickets sold for the game, not including mcc. Be interesting to see the crowd, I’d guess 50k?
Not even 4000 of those are Brisbane members. Add the Melbourne dominate mcc and I don’t want to hear claims we’ve been out numbered.

I’ve already put money on Luke Dunstan for the Norm when he replaces Trac.

If youre for resting Trac in this game youre for resting him in the Prelim and Granny also, a hairline fracture isn't going to magically heal in a week or two
More his bad corky too though

I want Tracc really hungry in the prelim, really hungry and famished too. Keep him in a cage and make him watch ANB kick 6 against shit Brisbane Bears over and over again then unleash him against Corio Bay with his corky healed and his hairline fracture held together with rope or bandaids or whatever and hopefully it inspires him to greatest heights ever. So yeah rest the campaigner.

Honestly Dunstan would be a good inclusion for finals games. He’s built for them. Just shovel out hand passes to better users. Sadly we don’t have too many good kicks in the midfield, would be nice to get Salem and Kozzy in the mix more regardless of whether Dunstan plays.

I really don't rate Dunstan and would only consider him if Viney is out - as they are the most like for like. He can do the bullocking inside work and shovel it out but that's pretty much it.

If you're worried about our poorly skilled midfield, if Dunstan comes in he would be close to the worst kick in the team. He's like early days Viney, a left foot butcher.

If Trac is out give Harmes his inside minutes. Harmes can break a tackle and actually looks to take the game on and can kick a goal.

Bring in a Chandler/Bedford to have Harmes HFF time.

I'm thinking that corky may keep him out before the fracture will, if its a serious one.
Not opposed to bringing Dunstan in and rotating other mids forward if Trac is out, wouldn't mind seeing Bowser back in either
Would like to see JVR for Melk, after that last game but it won't happen.

Someone want to explain the physics behind this?

Nice to see we are practicing our shots at goal from deep in the pocket, coincidence? I think not.

I don't think Trac should play, and got my doubts he will. The club was careful to throw in a reference to the corky when saying the break itself wouldn't keep him out. Fritta has obviously given his knee a decent tweak as well, don't think we need two forwards going half pace on the defensive side plus Slo Mo Melksham.

Let Trac get over the corky and deal with the break in the prelim and granny if it comes to that. Peter Larkins in the paper the other day said that while you can play with this injury you can certainly also turn it into a full break with a knock in the wrong spot.

I'm really becoming more and more keen for JVR to play and I think Chandler's pace may be helpful against the Lions as well considering how much fun Kosi had against them last time.

According to the coach the Hairline fracture is in a small bone in the knee joint . ( so not a broken leg FFS) A bigger concern is the corky . I expect if he overcomes the corky he will play . Or the coach is a big fat liar and bullshitting in the media . Take your pick .
I doubt Goodwin is playing funny buggers. If there was doubt pretty sure he'd roll out the we'll have to see how he gets through at training.

It lets Gawn spend more time up forward so our mids can continuously bomb the ball in his general direction.

And if he happens to clunk the mark he can then kick it out on the full!

🤣🤣 Our ruck Darcy fort got the record for number of goals kicked without a behind since debut. Or such like.

They didn't count the many out of the full kicks during that time. He was a bit embarrassed about the whole thing.

Hopefully we turn up this time round and it is another nail biting, lead changing finals game.
