Any news on why Ash Johnson seems to have fallen so hard out of favour?

Seems the obvious McStay replacement but doesn't seem to be getting a mention. Was a key player when we were at our best this year.

Because most of his games at AFL level he is utterly terrible with no second efforts.

Ash Johnson in a grand final is a scary thought, for us.

Are you not empowered with vision? The reason why Johnson is not being mentioned as a possible replacement has been stated numerous times.

If we're bringing in a tall, Kreuger for me.
Far more of an aerial competitor and leaves nothing out there.

I’d certainly prefer him over Frampton if we’re looking at maintaining our forward structure, and our defensive lineup. Super competitive and really quick for his size.

Krueger is the perfect curve ball replacement

If Brisbane win Harris Andrews is unbelievable

Out mcstay in Krueger

If Adams fit in for Lipinski

If the Lions get up more run at ground level on a warm Brisbane like day will be of more benefit than choosing a not quite right tall IMO.

Replace a tall forward in McStay with a small forward in Ginnivan.

Adams or Noble for the slow Lipinski.

Cameron and Cox to spend more time deep forward and less time on the pine.

Driving back from Gold Coast (watched rocky horror was awesome) pulled in to get petrol at the local ampol. Bloke was listening to the footy I said go the lions.

He smiled and said they were getting flogged now winning, I said doesn’t matter I’m a Collingwood fan and I hate Carlton.

He lifted his shirt and had a Collingwood tattoo on his arm, we fist bumped.

We got into a story about his dad being being 90 years and being a member for 55 plus.
He passed 2 years ago from cancer, but said Brodie Grundy sent him a video message for his birthday but unfortunately his father couldn’t see it before he passed.

I love what sport does and how it connects people.

Sorry, disagree.

Cannot allow either potential opponent to own the sky.

A shorter/faster sub to bring off a tall and add run > yes.

Starting with a deficiency of talls which plays into one of their key strengths > no.

Cool story, but if he wasn’t injured he’d be playing next week.

Brisbane owning the ground is what I worry about.

On the spread and out the back is how they always beat us.

I hear you but I don't see that happening on the MCG and also that's partly a by-product of the sky battle. We panic about the contested mark > every Kent goes up for the ball > Charlie Cameron floats out the back for a cheapie. If we have faith in our talls to compete then Bruzzy/IQ/Markov stay down

Frampton has always come into the side this year whenever we’ve had a tall out, whether it’s a ruckman, key forward or key back.So based on that,I’d say he’s almost certain to come into the side for the Grand Final. It’s just a question of where we play him.

I think we should play him as a forward and pinch hitting in the ruck.If he plays in the ruck that will give Cox and Cameron more time to spend on the forward line.

We definitely need another tall in the forward line,as Mihocek clearly can not carry the forward line on his own. We’ve seen that happen many times over the years, and was the reason why we recruited Mcstay this year.

Kappa, failing to mention that he has a broken arm and is unavailable as the real reason he isn't being talked about as the obvious replacement for McStay is disingenuous and unhelpful.

We're not looking to replace a tall from our defence though.

The weather for mine has to be taken into account now if the forecast remains the same as Brisbane will feel at home and we need to be running as hard in the last as the first to stand a chance.

Looking as it will be us vs Brisbane, I would like to see Frampton play forward and play a lockdown aerial role on Harris Andrews. We can’t let him chop out all of our high entries into the F50
