Thats a positon I can't get.
would they go pendles again? Tough to demote anyone from last week to sub, but we'll see tonight.
I think they rested Pendles so that he could get up for this game.

I expect Long to be sub (can always bring him in early if we are getting smashed around contest, but he’s the one we can most likely live without for the majority of the game).

rough to make him the sub after last week though.

I don't think it will Pendles considering they're promoting him and Sidey's record. We were so good last week that I think we'll keep the roles really similar - Pendles into Sullivan's role and JDG into Beau's high half forward role. Beau to be a very scary supercharged sub.

That’s a possibility given Beau was one of the couple in white

Love that. A hyped up Tassie Devil to unleash in the second half where he could go berserk for a quarter or so and show what he can do in there

Yeah might be able to bring him off for a breather if it works out that way

So in a scenario where they want to give him limited minutes, wouldn't it be better for him to start as the sub?

Again, my thinking is more along the lines of bringin him in later in the game when everyone has slowed down a little, he can come in and go hard for a quarter or so

Perhaps our thinking would be hit them with our best 22 and try and win the game before we rest one of our best players. If we get an injury 2 minutes in hes going to have to play a full game anyway so no point trying to protect him as the sub in theory. No idea, im just a dribbler with no coaching experience

No sign of checkers at captains run.
Coxy and Sullivan are here
No WHE

After all his soft tissue injuries last season it would make sense to manage Checkers through these 6 day breaks.

And Cox and Cameron will stretch the injury riddled dogs defence

They are not aiming to give him limited minutes. This is not a practice game.

Jordy said on SEN this morning that he's as fit as you can be in pre-season (was ready last week) and just needs the match practice.

That means game time.

I really do hope so

Guess I'm still carrying the PTSD from how poorly we managed him last year

Jeez it's hard now with Ned's performance, tough on Sullivan, he did nothing wrong.

Out: Sullivan, ?Someone Else?

In: JDG, WHE

WHE imo must come in, McInnes out might make us too small down back, but that is the most logical option, this would be easy if Ned didn't have an awesome game.

Naughton and Darcy are giants, Moore must take Darcy and McInnes could take Naughton so Howe can be loose.

Interesting which way they go, I suspect WHE won't be selected but I feel his run is more important than Howe being loose.

Extra run = greater pressure around the contest which makes a loose back not as crucial, so if they do select WHE, it means McInnes will make way and Howe plays tight on Naughton.

Good problem to have.

WHE was not at the captains run, so has been overlooked.
