Last season when Pies played the dogs the pies were severely undermanned. Dean, Bytel, Fin, Parker, AJ, Sullivan were all in the team. I dont think we received too much sympathy for memory

But when he was in black last week it was a sign of selection. It’s the ones in black you focus on. Always a few seniors in white.

I'm all for subbing him out regardless as to how the game is going, if opportunity allows, but we have to be prepared for someone to be injured 5 minutes into a game and forcing him to come onto the field straight away. Likewise we could play him with the intention of subbing him off and someone could be injured before we make that activation.

Yes Pendlebury started as sub last week but I'm certain the club knew he'd be right to play 70% TOG if someone went down early.

They don't have enough players to play 22 on 22 - and probably don't want to bother with lengthening the game with rotations - all 22 can't wear black.

It's a flawed idea to ease someone in via the sub. They are either ready to go for a full game or they aren't. If they are ready and it's a quality player like Jordy, you start him.

Any sub needs to be ready to play a full game.

Can’t believe im saying this but Long will be incredibly stiff to miss or be the sub after last weeks good performance
