Let's be honest.

Adelaide with double the scoring shots up until 3/4 time blew a golden opportunity to beat us on their home deck earlier this season.

This time we have the home ground advantage but Adelaide coming off a 20 goal thumping of West Coast that only highlighted their capacity to score will be sure to embrace the underdog tag and come at us swinging.

For a side that's only lost the 2 games to date our defeat at the hands of Melbourne wasn't the end of the world and yet how we respond to that poor performance at our very next opportunity feels of greater importance than our current ladder position would indicate.

I don't think Ginnivan comes in. A rumour going around is that Wright is extremely disappointed in his behaviour off-field. Was out on the town the day before a game and had to be dropped. Think he'll go back to the VFL. Johnson would surely be dropped after his performance, particularly with Kreuger kicking five goals. If Kreugs keeps his body up, he's AFL standard.

That was the game where our tall injuries really hit the hardest. They defend the skinny Adelaide oval really well and forced us into going down the line and then to the hotspot when we did get it in deep - and then they murdered us in the air. With talls back and playing on a wider field where it will be harder to force us down the line, it should be a very different game.

Plus a 5 day break after Anzac Day on their deck with no Pendles. Was huge

And the worst last quarter umpiring going against us. Fantastic win. No idea how we pulled it off - it was taking the piss to walk away from that one with 4 points.

Yeah I forgot that. I usually cringe at umpire whinging but AJ and Murph were absolutely robbed in the last quarter amongst others.

This game will give a clear indication if the pre bye dip in form was just a temporary thing or have the opposition worked us out with the clearance work and keeping’s off style to prevent our style working
Are we a legitimate clear top 2 team or will we regress to a dog fight to retain our top 2 slot.

Hoping last week was just a mixture of a few being sore (Mccreery, WHE, Hill? and Johnson as a minimum) and a group of others being sick. That and the trip back from Perth.

Suspect we'll try and start like a house on fire. The old McRae sandwich.

Yeah the conspiracy stuff is painful. But it's like the bounce of the ball. Sometimes you get lucky and the decisions bounce your way and other days you get unlucky. We got ridiculously unlucky in that last quarter.

P.S. what's happened to jonbe54
