Oh yeah, saying it publically is gutsy but internally they should have that mindset.

It's AFL. All players are confident, until the ball is bounced and reality hits them.

He just confused a team meeting with a radio interview.

The boys will be into him.

Bytel out. That’s great news.
Surprised he got a crack at all TBH.

Considering we had 4 AFL listed players going around at VFL level the other week, Bytel getting a game isn't surprising at all.

He might not be up to the level, but i don't get the hate for Bytel. Seems a ripping fella.

Also, as pointed out, he's been played out of position on the wing. He's a natural inside mid.

We have no Mitchell, Pendlebury or De Goey and he can't get a game as an inside mid.

Seems our coaches are saying something. Haven't seen any personal hate towards him, just talking about his performances.

Anything further about Leggy? With TJ in now, our Half backs are stacked in our 22. If Leggy needs to miss for either Ed or Reef, I'm OK with it.
I really want to see how Reef and Kreuger look up forward. Maybe even move Billy back and go with Howe as well. A super athletic forward line with those 3.
Or happy to give Ed more time too. I think once he adapts to the speed he will be a really solid contributor.

Great to see TJ get an opportunity in this match. I really hope he's not the sub, and is given a full game.
Fantastic we have now debuted 6 players this season, and giving these players a taste of senior footy.
TJ will be a very good player for us in seasons to come, and getting senior experience now, will fast track his development.
Well done TJ and hope you have a fantastic debut match...👏👏🏆⚫⚪⚫⚪🏆

Agree. Start him in the 22. Markov can be sub if he passes the physical otherwise it’s Reef.

I can’t understand why McInnes isn’t getting a game when we still have so many players out.I don’t think he was doing much wrong before he got concussed a few weeks ago,

That’s a fair question and yet his output in the VFL suggests that the selection decision was the right one.

This strikes me as a really important game in the year's context. The team has defied gravity since the injury curse struck, and I can only attribute that to the fire in the bellies that the players have brought to the field in games that they had no right to win. North Melbourne present a different sort of test.

With a full forward who has always troubled us and a midfield that now supports Davies-Uniacke with some upcoming stars, they are a team on the rise with better prospects than most credit them with. Collingwood are in the position they are on the back of superhuman efforts and incredible commitment. I wonder if the players can bring the same effort to the contest with this lesser credentialled opponent. The first three games of the year show where even our best team sits without the fearsome commitment we have seen of late. If they relax just a bit, I feel that they will be in trouble.

I sound like a Jeremiah I know, but I would hate to see the incredible performances of the last month (and they have been incredible) reduced to insignificance by a mediocre performance when the pressure is apparently off. Sunday will be a different sort of test of the system and the coaches.
