WHE? Give me 1 reason why he should play this week.
Explain how his 6 touches, 2 marks & 1 tackle game will impact the result of the game and the future of our club?

I don't understand what you were expecting? This will be by far the most inexperienced side we would have named in years, playing an experienced guy in WHE this week isn't an issue. The club gives as countless of reasons to pot them, team selection this week is not one of them.

Yes it is his game last week was pathetic. If he wasn’t an AFL listed player he wouldn’t be safe in the twos after that showing

Cox apparently had a falling out with Buckley and won't play seniors anytime soon unless we have some key injuries. He needs to start showing more physical presence and holding onto more marks at VFL level before he will be selected again.
So you're literally telling us that Cox needs to get a little bit harder before he can be in again...

Either that or Bucks has the talent ID skills of a drunk

Why does Bucks get the heat for draft and list management decisions? He is not the talent identification or list manager.

Bucks gets most of the heat because he is the coach, but most of our issues this club is facing have nothing to do with Bucks. He is as much a victim of club list management as anyone.

Bucks is not without blame regarding team selections, but he is not to blame for 7 first round picks pissed up against the wall in the last 8-9 years or ridiculous contracts for Mayne, Wells, Treloar and Grundy that have led us to this place.

There it is again (if true). Buckley holds Cox to a completely different standard to WHE or C Brown. If they are fulfilling his expectations of their roles then we are truly in need of a new coach.

Don't try to make sense of Buckley's logic.

McRae had a better game on debut than WHE had in two seasons. C.Brown is an automatic pick, yet his brother had more upside, Buckley wants to be a more attacking side yet selects Chris "two metre kick" Mayne on the wing. .

The only sense left is how many weeks left until he is gone!

Huge news.

Sounds like we have to isolate today before our game tomorrow
I'm not sure whether the VFL game will go ahead either

According to the herald sun (Haven't read it just heard it), if possible could someone copy the article here.

ffs

Don’t have the article but it’s absolutely ridiculous. We played against WCE before old mate even left quarantine. The players would’ve been tested during the week which is standard protocol and have clearly tested negative. Worst case even if someone had tested positive which is unlikely, they’ve been out in the community so it’s likely to have already been spread .. yet a day before our biggest game of the year we have to isolate. What a preparation that is. Absolutely pathetic by the AFL, trying to make sure we look like we’re doing the right thing even though it makes zero sense to everybody affected in this.

BTW surely the WCE are also quarantining? They’ve been in Perth all week ffs!

I reckon mayne is inspired by artsy ****en french dramas and shit like that.. where everything moves in slow motion.. might wanna start watching cruise in days of thunder.. top gun.. mayne's got the look and the dare to pull it off I reckon.. more cruise less depardieu

Cox is currently out of the side because Moore has gone forward, and Cameron is preferred as a ruck/forward.

Early on it was Callum Brown and not Josh Daicos who looked the more likely of the two to forge an AFL career.

Well haven't times changed and whereas Daicos now displays clean ball handling, excellent foot skills, is slippery in traffic and generally able to take his chances in front of goal Callum is like one of those old fashioned wind up toys who buzzes around on the spot looking busy but basically goes nowhere fast, gets tackled, loses his feet and to often his snaps on goal fail to even make the distance.

It's fair to say he's lucky to still be in the side based on current output and alongside Thomas and Hoskin-Elliott that's half a forward line not providing anywhere near the consistency of performance we need from them.

Brown still has time on his side but it's quickly running out and if he and those listed above can't capitalise on this upcoming section of our draw with games against Essendon, Gold Coast, North Melbourne and Sydney then you couldn't put any faith in them against the stronger opposition to come.

Time to deliver or move aside.

Agree - but there’s a massive weight of expectation on CB and his confidence is waning IMO.
Same as Treloar being bagged last year - moves on ( and out of the BF cauldron) and finds his way.

Not sure how CB finds his way - but merciless bagging will not help.

Yes, another opportunity for Cameron to show he’s not another inferior Chris Bryan model.
Less forward craft than a block of cheese.
Time to show us prowess....
Don’t give me this 9 game bull crap, guys been playing most of his life.

I’m surprised there’s not more heat on Hine and the list managers, and whoever else was responsible for, or worse, interfered in our drafting and recruiting.

Our record during most of Bucks’ time as senior coach has been mixed, and that’s being polite.

Look at the Dogs. Won a flag in 2016, lost some players over the next several years, and have built back up to being contenders if not favourites. They’ve done an outstanding job for a club with much more limited resources than we have. And fewer back slappers too I dare say.

I sometimes feel there’s an air of arrogance about us. That we think we can throw around top picks like confetti, but still somehow find and develop A graders by other means. A bit like the arrogance that permeated Carlton under Elliott and ended up cruelling that club for decades. Very concerning.

I can only assume it’s because the VFL is less structured and he’d have more exposure to the general public.

Were supporters allowed to quarter time huddles last week and on the ground?

It’s a ****ing joke. That’s what it is. On what grounds can Sier not play. Let’s be real here if he had it he would of spread it to the other AFL players who are playing in the VFL game all ready
