I think the problem was more teams started to put work into him and not allow him the space he required to use his foot skills to great advantage. the closer attention magnified his major weakness at contested footy.
I think his strengths that he brought to the team were far greater than his weakness in contested footy
He's been on fire the last month or so.
When our afl team cant hit a target, it would be nice to persist with him and see if he can improve.
Our depth looks poor but he seems like one guy that deserves another game

Good to have a player the opposition need to put time into.
Surely the solution is to get more players of that type. They can't cover them all.
Instead everyone except Dawson wouldn't give them an ounce of concern

I think he’s unfairly maligned in terms of trying to impact the contest. Obviously Nix sees a difference between intent and outcome with Sholl. Weird he wanted another 22 games from a 35 year old perpetual plodder with the exact same weakness.

I think he’s unfairly maligned too re Sholl and agree that his intent is generally ok , he will never be a hard man but he tries to compete but lacks body strength
Does have some weapons though which is a huge start , many don’t

If Worrell gets dumped after a game versus a good fwd line in Carlton rather than giving him another couple of 'softer' games then we are a joke. Just give him the last month. What is there to lose? We can't move out of the bottom 4 now. Jfc
How incredible that a guy like Scholl who has some real skill and class can not get a game but young fisherman Ned who tries really hard can not be dropped...
Taylor gets himself right has a blinder but no mention...
We can't kick a winning score and are locks for bottom four but can't give Gollant or Nankervis a crack in front of Murphy or Fisherman Fred to give them some experience??

Rachele sanfl is fair enough this week , struggled his last 6 games then injured . Needs an easy time . He’s done enough this year anyway

Prob would have given Keays more time forward in Neds chase / pressure role and played Taylor mid / forward
Sholl is prob the 3rd best wing at club after seed and Dawson and neither of them are playing wing so would like to see Sholl
Hinge was lucky to keep his spot was horrible last week , he’s been dropped off much better performances

Sholl is an interesting one. He had a few high possession games early and was nailing left and right foot passes like it was nothing. Was slow but could run all day and was purely outside. He looked like a skilful outside wingman who knew how to find the ball easily.
I feel like his kicking was the first thing to drop off which was weird. Seemed to miss easy shots on goal as well. Then all of a sudden he couldn't run anymore. He then regressed hard. Was labouring and having zero influence. Easily pushed off the ball. Once he couldn't get space he was ineffective.
Whether it's been a development issue or his game just got exposed easily, I'm not sure. Either way I wouldn't be rushing him back. Soligo was a nice upgrade.
His form was awful. He wasn't having any impact. It was a good decision just like removing McHenry would be a good decision now.
