Had a good 1st quarter, but average for the rest of the game.

But it's a case of who else would go out for Rankine if available?

Pedlar must come back in.
McAdam needs to stay in.
Rachele was poor today, but wouldn't drop after 1 game.

Both Soligo & Schoenberg need to stay in as we have lost Jones & need them through the midfield.
Soligo and Schoey definitely will stay

Pedlar for Jones probs be it

Who goes to the wing in the Pedlar/Jones re-shuffle?

Smith, Soligo, Hinge, Schoenberg probably rotate, I’m guessing
Hinge needed as 7th defender.

Smith already playing wing. We moved Schoenberg on to a wing tonight & Murphy at times with Sloane playing through the middle.

I would be playing Smith, Schoenberg & Soligo as main 3, but rotating some of our forwards too.

0 chance Murphy gets dropped after today , just won’t happen

Murphy's last 3 away games against Bombers, Pies, Demons (2/3 very good teams) were bloody terrible.

Averaged 8 disposals, 1.9 tackles, 2 inside 50's, 1 goal, 0 goal assists.

We lost those 3 games by a combined 24 points.

We need to drop him for our best forward line of the year:

Out: Jones / Murphy
In: Pedlar / Rankine
Sub: Sloane

Forward line with rotations of Walker, FOG, TT, Rankine, Pedlar, McAdam, Rachele, Keays.

If Rankine and Pedlar come in Murphy simply has to go out.

This is nothing against Murphy and how hard he tries, it's as simple as picking the best team.

We should not be finding excuses to keep guys like Murphy in the side.

Brisbane have everything in their forward line, size, speed, power.

It will be a real test for the young backline.

The only way we can compete is to be smarter as a defensive unit.

That's actually what I love about Keane, Borlase and Worrell they seem like really smart defenders.

In saying that, this is another level they would have never experienced before.

We need to really pressure in the midfield to give the Backman the best opportunity.

One saving grace is that Bris are coming off a shorter break and long WA trip.

Somehow need to get Pedlar, Cook, Rankine back into the team...
I’d imagine Brisbane don’t fly home until tomorrow.

With a 3pm game here in Perth that won’t finish until 6pm and a 5+ hour flight to Brisbane (plus a 2 hour time difference) there’s no way they’d travel back today.

So they get back Monday into Brisbane and play us Saturday afternoon .

I’m thinking a broken foot, but that was Port doctors diagnosis
Looked like that. Definitely feeling more along the foot (5th metatarsal I think perhaps) than the ankle which isn’t a good sign (more likely to roll ankle and be too painful to contine but recover ok than something in foot)

He looks tired and is just throwing his body at the contest looking for a free
