So who actually travelled? Forecast has changed a bit so rain in the arvo looks likely, think we're going in too top heavy as named.
Yeah I thought the same until i saw how tall lions were as well.

I guess Allen, Darling and Schoey are agile talls at least

Difference is that they have the option of replacing some of their talls where as we're pretty much stuck with them. Just odd selections, we were clearly too short last week and clearly too tall this week.

If Schofield was a late out for Nelson would you be happier?

Not sure Nelson's going to be much better in the wet, have soured on him a great deal now we've got some good, skilled young players in the team as a comparison. Suppose he's pretty hard at it so he's got that going for him.
I am keen on seeing how Oscar Allen goes up forward, hopefully it's dry enough for him to clunk a few.
I understand why we've named such a tall team when you look at what Brisbane has, I just think with the way the weather's looking it wouldn't have hurt to have flown an extra emergency over to give us options tomorrow.

That would rob East Perth who need to win to play finals, and we need them playing finals.

Van Berlo on 6PR this morning seemed to suggest that a small defender (i.e. Jacko Nelson) would likely be a late in tomorrow. Maybe they’ve got an idea about what the conditions are likely to be and have decided to go with one less tall (likely to be Schofield I’d imagine)

Completely agree. I like the allen in to straighten us up, even in the wet.

Its the schoey in that doesnt really make sense, I feel like they just wanted to find a way to get him in. It makes a lot more sense to play a small like nelson.

Guess the tough call for the MC was schoey is a lot better than nelson, but nelson gives is more speed...

If there is a game to tank it is this one. I live in Melbourne and the sheer disrespect towards Eagles is unreal. We are 7th fav for the flag currently sitting 2nd on the ladder and one of the teams who have actually defeated tigers. would love to finish 4th, go to the G and beat tigers first round, that would mess everything up. The way I see it, for anyone to succeed this year you have to go passed tigers. Why not do it before GF.
It won't be the same Richmond we played before, they'll be smarter/more improved against us a second time..
and pretty much best 22, while we have lost NN and Gaff from before.
Any of the top 6-8 can cause an upset in finals
But with JK+JD, Lycett+Vardy and team pumped for a finals run, there's little reason it can't be done.
(have become more conservative the closer we get to finals)
Tomorrows game will reveal some truths...
(while Freo might try to win, they won't mind losing to Pies, as it helps dislodge us from top 2, if we lose)

11 marks is great but seems he turned it over lots, gave away frees and used it poorly - statistically speaking

You obviously didn't watch the game.

This seems yet another classic example of the merit of stats as proof of anything.

Francis was one of the better players on the ground and was hugely influential.

This is why I said based on his stats. I understand they don't always tell the full story. My point is based on those alone I'm underwhelmed.

In any case, the point is redundant. He got the vote last week, so Oz is cleared to get the nom when he 20 and 3s tomorrow.

It's not a matter of them not always telling the full story.

It's a matter of them often not telling anything close to the full story.

They are a useful tool but anyone relying on stats as heavily as you seem to is either a statistician or doesn't really grasp the game.

Weird post, Francis was very good last night.

Starting to think the week off b4 finals will get us again. Would be much bettee ro play the pies travelling to perth 2 weeks in a row

Nah our boys will love that week of.
Yeo and Sheppard and Cripps gives them time to get over there soreness.
They hardly trained this week, we have a lot of sore boys

Gives JJK another week.

That’s good in my book.

I didn't watch the game. I said I didn't watch the game and my comment was being shaped around his stats.

Stop quoting me you jerks, my notifications are for likes only.

Cmon DanWCE pull your head in m8

You started this shit trying to get Tugga27 son a second nomination. Now I'm getting quoted out of context harder than the subject of a struggling journalist.

Do you all hate Oz Allen? Did he sleep with all of your girlfriends like Duggo did to CCs GF last season? Get behind him for the nom!
