Still genuinely perplexed by the Murphy selection. All of Murphy's shortcomings are exacerbated by us missing Tex (or any semblance of a quality CHF) and at this point, has to be considered a list clogger with the investment of recent draft capital in Rachele, McHenry and Rowe. Pedlar's burst and line breaking ability is far more beneficial to this team and I would have given him a block of games to find his feet at the level.

No they haven’t, the difference is now they are stinking so much you can’t defend them any more.

Milera and Soligo first week sucked.
EH for TT and Soligo sub sucked
This week well.

Some people have memories like goldfish.

Nicks selections last season were just as pathetic.

Have we all forgotten the ridiculous selections at the start of the season by not selecting enough tall defenders?

Or the continual selection of injured, hampered senior players?

Nicks is clueless as a coach, he learnt from Hinkley and Cameron, that should have been enough to NOT get an interview - let alone win the position.

****ing Roo continues to drag our club down.

Injured Lynch as the medical sub was probably the best of them all I think.

Genius by Nicks.

Port can’t tell the difference between these two. Having one at both ends means Port will get confused and won’t know if they’re in attack or defence. They won’t know which way they’re kicking.

Hahaha brilliant!

And Port will be even more confused when Billy and Berg don’t change ends each quarter, because they’re basically interchangeable so there’s no need 🤪

The individuals at the club are acting without trust in one another.

The coaches don't trust the recruiters to have picked good players. Result is we need to trial all our top picks in the SANFL for extended periods to reconfirm what the recruiters already knew.

The coaches also don't trust the young players to get wins, so they select as old of a side as possible, despite list management getting rid of most experienced players.

List management doesn't trust the coaches to rebuild so they remove a ton of experience from the list.

Board members don't trust the coaches so publicly attack the sides skills and lack of results. In turn the coaches don't trust the board not to sack them in a rebuild so resort to self preservation mode.

List management doesn't trust the players to stay on a reasonable deal so signs them up far longer than they should be, even plodders.

All of this causes supporters not to trust the club knows what they are doing

Port were worse than us last week and like ours, their selections have made them weaker. Neither side is playing AFL standard football at the minute.
The difference is that if they decided to rebuild from tomorrow and gut their list at the end of the season, they would be way ahead of us in terms of progressing.

We still have at least 4+ years of rebuild in front of us.

Crisp!

I’m trying to come up with an analogy for this.

All I can think of is you’re in a coffee shop, the coffee comes out completely cold, and you go back up to the counter and say:

“Make it two, please.“

Just goes to show what a difference perspective and expectation make to people’s reality.

The only reason they’re copping it more than us (outside of this board…) is they have the burden of expectation.

If they suddenly came out and said they’re “rebuilding“ everyone would lay off them.

Funny how that works.

PS - I just want you all to know you’re a bunch of arseholes. You’re not allowed to react to this because my posting is in a rebuilding phase.

lol. I forgot about that.

Remember how long he took to get onto the ground and needed to get jabbed too. No Im not talking Moderna jab, lol, Im talking for pain relieft.

The midget brigade of Rowe, Murphy, Ned will walk tall and get us home. What amuses me is that they continue to not play Ogilvie's picks but do nothing about moving him on. If they are happy with his picks why the hell aren't they playing them?
That's not quite right, they like to play Ogilives rookie picks

Their best SANFL player last year Boyd Woodcock absolutely lit up the VFL on the weekend now playing for the Southport Sharks B.O.G. with 33 disposals. Should be on an AFL list IMO.

Thought he was stiff to be delisted, played well when he got the chance for them.

Himmelberg a key forward with checks notes zero goals, nah you're good carry on
It's not all about goals

Or marks... or kicking... or tackles... or hit outs...

Or football

Pedlar being played in a no man's land forward role with awful delivery and then being dropped

Soligo being sub until a sore Sloane decided the game was over and then being dropped

Himmelberg a key forward with checks notes zero goals, nah you're good carry on
Milera, Gallucci, Jones, McHenry, Berry, Pedlar

The coach comes up to our first round midfield pick and says you got a game in the seniors, yayayah
Then the coach says you are playing HFF, booooooo
I wonder if the coaches can see a trend here ??

I am totally convinced that this club doesn’t know what to do with high end draft picks.
In what respect?

How to actually pick talent or how to develop it?

Why is it the bulk of our round 1 draftees consistently have these crises of confidence?

It’s almost as if we have a culture of gaslighting our early draftees as part of our development program!

Apart from Rachele.

And Thilthorpe. Because you do realize out of the top 30 players drafted in 2020 - only 2 have played more AFL games than him. And he is a 201cm, 19 year old.

And the fact that McHenry and Chase Jones have played 70 games between them in 3 years.

But apart from that, yes FOG, McAsey and Galluci were very very disappointing.

Are you seriously saying that Jones & McHenry were successful draft picks and have been developed well??

And we went short against West Coast late in the year, so he clearly didn't learn. Nice guy, shit coach
