Yes but that was mental and we are no longer mentalIsn't this basically the same side that Gold Coast flogged the living s**t out of for 3 quarters?

Milera is clearly one of our best distributers with ball in hand. Mostly good last year after the melts wanted him gone.Have we? He’s still been pretty rubbish. Just has a lot more mates now.
Who Hawthorn traded out for Cooper Stephens (yet to play for Hawthorn) and picks 41 & 50 (neither used)No one rates Tom Mitchell?
Guy who was 4th in a premiership sides best and fairest just 6 months ago?
He really isn't. Just because the commentators say it, doesn't make it so.Milera is clearly one of our best distributers with ball in hand. Mostly good last year after the melts wanted him gone.
After 3 games ( he missed round 2) he was averaging 14 disposals pg - after 7 games it moved to 15Milera is clearly one of our best distributers with ball in hand. Mostly good last year after the melts wanted him gone.
One thing I haven’t see him do is fend off an evade, he was doing it a heap last year, reckon I saw it once against Geelong.Milera is clearly one of our best distributers with ball in hand. Mostly good last year after the melts wanted him gone.
I watched the game last night and thought the Lions were doing a similar thing to us in the middle. They were often winning the initial clearance, but then losing possession.
If we can’t get Dawson back into form, hitting targets, hurting in the middle … if we don’t use Peds and Soligo and Rachele and Rankine to shake up the midfield … then I can see us winning the clearances and still getting done easily.
If we don’t at least start trying to hit the leading forwards … our scoring will continue to be abysmal, our scoreboard pressure non existent, our hopes of growing into a dangerous team dashed again. Tex / Fog / Pedlar / Rankine / Rachele are no good in a pack marking situation … but a fast moving open space forward line with decent supply, that’s these guys Bread and butter.
I again am looking at our defenders - Max, Wayne, Brodie, Josh and Mitch are all naturally attacking players. I’d better see that shine through, not them swallowing down their instincts and embracing the fear of mistakes!!

That's not great then.He played rounds 19-22. He was omitted for the Sydney game.
He really is. Just because you say he's not doesn't mean he's not.He really isn't. Just because the commentators say it, doesn't make it so.
Well lucky we never dropped him ay, He ended up having a good yearAfter 3 games ( he missed round 2) he was averaging 14 disposals pg - after 7 games it moved to 15
It was after that he started to be more effective - this was related to Smith moving to a wing
From memory Wayne was very fumbly and his disposals were hit and miss
Easily in our best 22Does very little damage, often trying to hit up short targets leading at him with an opponent on their hammer. Too many times the spoil is longer than the kick. But he's not the main problem at the moment, but he is unfortunately pure meh.
Great insight Nicksy. Don't drop anyone because they might come good.Well lucky we never dropped him ay, He ended up having a good year
He was never bad last year to start with, Just some melts over reactingGreat insight Nicksy. Don't drop anyone because they might come good.
No but because he constantly turns it over and burns his opponents says he isHe really is. Just because you say he's not doesn't mean he's not.
Nope wrong again, Usually very clean ball useNo but because he constantly turns it over and burns his opponents says he is

Are they idiots though?Because Hawthorn are idiots.
They are the same club that rated him as the worst player on the ground in round 1 and round 2. Despite getting Brownlow votes in both games.
Because Fremantle didnt rate McLeod and traded him to us for Chris Groom doesn't mean nobody rates Andrew McLeod.
Mitchell won a Brownlow at HawthornBecause Hawthorn are idiots.

Yes they got nothing for him except removing his salary, but Mitchell is turning 31 this year and Hawthorn aren't close to finishing their rebuild.
He clearly wasn't going to be part of their next flag team so why bother keeping and playing him in a rebuild?
Mitchell won a Brownlow at Hawthorn
McLeod didn’t play a game for Freo
The 2 are in now way comparable.
They are idiots.
They obviously rated him poorly (based on his admission) and yet still played him 21 of a possible 22 games in a season they had no chance of making the finals and then gave him away from nothing at the end of the season.
Easily in our best 22
Yeah, I thought same after the Cats rolled us and I looked ahead. The NM game in Hobart is not a certainty. We could be looking at 0-10 .I'm not even convinced we will beat North Melbourne.
Call me old fashionedThat's a terrible take
