Don't mind the Sparrow out calls. We win the game if he doesn't miss a two metre handpass to Oliver in the 1-2. Sydney streamed forward and scored. Hard as a cats head, sure, but do more.

So many players look under done, tired, carrying niggles or just out of form.

Our forwardline simply isn't working. Brown is a liability atm. Can't justify playing him. Need to drop one of the small forwards in ANB, Koz or Spargs. Just not bringing the pressure. Hunt has been woeful last few weeks. No idea who tf comes in as Weid has done f*** all when given a chance, but I'd drop the following.

Ben Brown
Small forward
Hunt
Tomlinson

May in
Hibberd in

Weid most likely comes back and I'd play Bedford full game in replace of one of our smalls. Laurie a chance to debut too.

The pressure just isn't there. Is it fitness? Is it attitude? 18th is appalling over the last 6 weeks. No surprise we start losing when playing good teams. Been kissed on the d*** with the draw thus far and have skated along. Massive wake up call hopefully but don't know how you can turn that pressure around. We lose to the Pies(which I think we will) we're in massive trouble.

Kozzy has been great. Doing the work of two players

In: May, Bedford
Out: Tomlinson, Sparrow

Not playing Bedford was a mistake. Need that zip.
May back will be big.
Love Sparrow but he’s not doing enough and making mistakes so out he goes.

The main change that matters is kicking to our forwards on the lead and not kicking into the 50 from over the mark. Key forward mix is irrelevant until we get that right.
I agree. I think Bedford needs to play the rest of the year. Our defensive pressure is horrendous. Anyone that helps with that is worth pursuing with.

Happy enough with that I guess. Leaving Mitch Brown in? Maybe medisub and play Bedford? Playing 2 tall forwards isn't working anyway, might as well go small and rely on pressure and smarter passes.
We could park Max at FF for most of the game, give Jacko more ruck time and run with an extra small. Gawn was our most dangerous target last night and is our best contested mark by a long way.

So what do they actually do about the forward line?
Love Ben Brown, he's horribly out of form though but what's better?
Mitch Brown didn't exactly kill it last night.
I'd like to see Weids get a better run at it but he just doesn't do well at AFL level for the most part.
Majak Daw is a utility that has never had more than 10 goals in a season.
Throwing JVR to the wolves won't be any good. And his vfl form is still patchy. Although I'd love to see him play at some time.

BBB has more runs on the board than any one of them. In fact, other than last month he's been very very solid for us ever since he came back against Port last year. He definitely needs a kick up the ass but he's the best option of the lot and when he's on he's bloody good

Agreed Be nice to see Bedford get more of a go at it, he’s pace and zip is excellent.
Has good goal sense too

If Hunt is now playing a role that doesnt use his pace enough then I'd rather see Hibberd back in and have him play a lockdown role on Ginnivan, you just know he would kick a bag against us somehow.
I no longer know what to do with the forward line anymore, seems like having Plugger and Dunstall in there at the moment wouldn't even help.
It's up to Greg Stafford and Goody to get on top of the forward line situation now.

if Jayden Hunt goes on Ginnivan next week he will concede about 12 goals in free kicks alone. Ginnivan is extremely dangerous because he stages at every single contest he goes to and if we get umpires that fall for his nonsense then it's going to be a long day. Hibberd on Ginnivan for me.

B.Brown out, Neitz in after he goes down the slide.
Any wonder TMacs foot is cooked when he buys his boots second hand on Gumtree.
John Barkers boots IIRC.
Could at least buy them from a decent player.

In: May, Bedford
Out: Tomlinson, Sparrow

Agree, Bedfords zip would be helpful around the midfield, and forward.
May back will be big.
totally.

I reckon being as mobile as possible. Bigs and smalls, movement around the F50. perpetual motion from the talls. Confuse everyone, us and them. Result chaos, and we win the contested balls.

Out - B Brown, Tomlinson
In - Weidemann, May

Need May desperately for the structure and Weidemann is in better form than Brown. I think we just enjoy the break, freshen up and don’t over cook the changes. Got to stick with the best group.

Maybe Bedford for Sparrow if we are needing some additional pace. The KP changes are the obvious ones though.

You say give Weid a month and then you watch him play. It’ll be Weed out and Brown in. The pies are a good side. This isn’t a personnel issue atm, it’s a game plan and an attitude issue. Ben Brown hasn’t suddenly become the worst forward in the league because he’s forgotten how to play.

Collingwood coach Craig McRae will seek clarity from the AFL about why high free kicks weren't paid in favour of small forward Jack Ginnivan
'I'll get some clarity around that': McRae queries Ginnivan non-calls

Pies getting in early to make sure Ginnivan is looked after this week. Maybe we should do the same for Gawn, the way he gets worked over every game and nothing gets done.
