for...his lack of chase, pressure, witches hat ability and not getting involved enough like a more senior player should.

I'm a Seed fan, but last week was typified by that missed soft tackle effort, so he had to be dropped. Seed needs to find consistency as he has had some good games this year... but too many poor ones.

Atkins it appears will be looking for a new side next year. Comeback game he didn't lay 1 tackle sums him up.

I want to ask people these questions. When is the last time we have seen a shepherd from a crows player. When is the last time we have stood the mark with intent. How many smothers do we have each week when compared with other sides. We don’t do the little defensive things well. We. Wrtaiu know how to get our kicks smothered however

I saw Hamill give off a good shepherd in his first or second game.

Tex gave off a great one when he handballed to Seedsman in the Essendon game.

Other than that, not much. We probably show more intensity on the golf course.

We won't get an end of 1st compo for Atkins, but the right thing to move him on as not the type you rebuild a side around.

Ellis netted Richmond a second rounder last year, something similar would still be very nice for us and may allow us to trade down with teams more concerned about points

Good to see Yahl Cricket Club product Brad Close getting another game with Geelong this week...this is the kid I said we should have picked up in the midseason draft last year but apparently our list was already strong enough

Hopefully they do the midseason draft again next year, there is going to be a heap of good kids that miss out getting drafted. If footy goes back to some sort of normality next year we will get a good chance to see which ones are impressing and we should get first pick of them in that mid year draft if it goes ahead.

We got a 3rd rounder for CEY, so I think Atkins would get at least that if not end of 2nd round. Luckily for us, a 3rd round pick is basically the same as an end of 2nd

JFC, what planet are you on, they are very comparable, similar stats, similar ave goals, both were demonised by their supporter groups, both rarely tackle. In a good side, he is pretty good icing on the cake, a goal kicking wingman. We will get compo for him, if CEY got us a third rounder then there is a fair chanc e Rat will get us one of the two secound rounders
