Banfield to kick 4 and this time I mean it

Right now it's hard to understand why they extended Sturt for one more year.
Perhaps things change but it seems like a waste of his time and a waste of a list spot from us.

The club has clearly completely written Sturt off, whatever, I just want to know what happened for him to be so close then be banished immediately.
My opinions on Banfield are known but he was actually ok against North (compared to most others anyway). Agree with s_wd6 assessment though in that it's a huge loss compared to Freddy who was pretty damn good last week.
I'd love some kind of word from the club on Draper, is he actually first emergency (once Johnson is named as sub) or are they jsut getting Brodie and Corbett through Friday before jetting them over immediately in case something happens?

They recruit them. Just absolutely refuse to play them unless there is no other option and will have to play short.
We're not going to lose because of 1 or 2 team selections. The issue is that it's indicative of a greater problem with the club, a complete aversion to risk and innovation despite their necessitation. Our direct competitors have embraced change and attacking ethos to great effect while we continue to stagnate with an antiquated and dour MO. Evolve or die. rant over.

Replacing Frederick with just about the slowest player on our list is a real head scratcher. We’ve seen Sturt burn off guys like Colyer at training and can kick straight from outside 50, an ideal Frederick role replacement.

It’s time everyone stopped stressing about Sam Sturt as he will never play another game for Fremantle Dockers.
Maximum 9 goals is all we can score with that forward line. Amiss to get 5 touches as Banfield continuously ignores him when in possession.
One of the issues having BB on the team is that he upsets whatever semblance of a forward structure we have by shooting on sight every time he gets in the vicinity of the posts. It doesn’t matter if there’s someone better placed, he will still shoot. He’s desperate to justify his spot and then that’s what you get.
It means he will probably kick 1.3 or maybe even 2.3 on a reasonably good day. If he was good enough to kick 4.0 or 5.0 from those chances you would accept that greediness. But he isn’t. Plainly.
I just don’t see that forward line kicking the goals we need to win this. I reckon our season will be hanging by a thread Saturday evening.

Exactly. Is there another club in the league that wouldn't promote Johnson after his performance after coming on last week? The coach and his panel are like deer in the headlights.
