Re: Changes V Geelong

OUT: Myers (inj.), Watson (inj.), Lonergan (inj.), Monfries (shit), Hille, McVeigh
IN: Hardingham, H Slattery, Reimers, Dyson, Gumbleton, Crameri

B: Hardingham - Pears - H Slattery
HB: Hibberd - Fletcher - Heppell
C: Stanton (c) - Hocking - Dyson
HF: Jetta - Gumbleton - Ryder
F: Crameri - Hurley - Davey
R: Bellchambers - Zaharakis - Prismall
I: Reimers - Welsh - Howlett
S: Melksham

Melksham and Welsh unbelievably lucky to stay in, but 6 changes is pushing it as it is.

That side doesn't look too bad, all things considering.

Re: Changes V Geelong

I dont know why im bothering with the selection merry go round that i thought was a thing of the past but here we go.

What id like to see (but know it wont happen).

Out: Watson, Myers, Lonergan, Melksham (all injured) Hille
In: Hardingham, Crameri, Gumbleton, Reimers, Colyer

Hardingham Fletcher McVeigh
Heppell Pears Hibberd
Stanton Howlett Prismall
Jetta Gumbleton Ryder
Davey Hurley Crameri
Bellchambers Hocking Zaharakis
Welsh Monfries Colyer Reimers

I would like to make another 2-3 changes and push Mcveigh, Welsh and Monfries out but realistically 5 changes is enough and you need some big bodies against the cats. Dyson wasnt selected as i believe his papers have been stamped, went with Colyer but wouldnt mind Browne getting a taste of the big time against one of the best in the business. Either way, if we dont start hitting targets and giving our forwards a good chance it will be a royal pants pulling down but another good learning experience.

Re: Changes V Geelong

Think we may need 6 changes.

4 injuries, must drop a ruck and you can't PLAY Welsh.

Out

Myers, Watson, Lonergan, Melksham ( inj ), Ryder, Welsh

In

Hardingham, Reimers, Carlisle, Crameri, Colyer, Silverlock

Re: Changes V Geelong

Would not go in against the Cats with too many lightweights.
We will not win but i would sooner they are sort of able to compete and not get brushed aside by 100 plus.
Need the stronger types so Hardingham, Crameri, Reimers and .... hmmm run out of hard bodies.:)
Watching Geelong crush Adelaide at the moment, making me think we are miles off the mark.

Stanton-Howlett-Dyson
Jetta-Hurley-Davey
Crameri-Ryder-Colyer
Bellchambers-Zaharakis-Hocking
Prismall-H Slattery-Williams-Reimers

What changes that constitutes I don't know, but the thing about this side is that it has proper balance. Heppell, Jetta, Davey, Colyer, Prismall, Reimers and Slattery will all run through the midfield. Match-ups (assuming they're playing forward/midfield):

Pears-Podsiadly
Carlisle-Vardy/Ottens
Hibberd-Stokes
Fletcher-Johnson
Hardingham-Varcoe
Heppell-Menzel

Hocking-Bartel
Stanton-Ling

dunno if heppell is the right go for menzel - could see some goals kicked there

Re: Changes V Geelong

Menzel hadhamstring tightness today so would be in doubt to play you would think.

Re: Changes V Geelong

Out
Watson, Myers, Lonergan (inj)
Hille (was pathetic, didnt chase, didnt tackle, didnt give a rats)
Welsh (spent the last qtr grabbing at his calf and doesnt look close to match-fit)

In
Crameri, Hardingham, Reimers, Colyer, Gumby

Not sure who we play if Melksham is out, running out of smalls.

Re: Changes V Geelong

I'd go in with this:

B- Fletch - Pears - Hardingham

HB - Heppell - Ryder - Hibbered

C - Stanton - Hocking - Prismall

R - Bellchambers - Howlett - Zaharakis

HF - Carlisle - Hurley - Reimers

F - Jetta - M Williams - Davey

INT - Dyson - Colyer - Crameri

SUB: NLM

- No point putting a tall at FF, Scarlett and their defense will swallow up whoever. Better off going with a small.. give Willo the space to work in.
