No way Gooch can be dropped for Knight. Hes a far superior player.
No he isn't... yet.

Knight will be back next week if fit as our best pressure player.

Seriously sometimes u gotta go back right back to go forward and right now u lot winning that hard might start to shift the tectonic plates down at Alberton

Tex & Sloane in pls

Lol. Media pant sniffers? Port control the media in SA you numnut.

Hes also much, much worse than Sloane who plays the same position. Greenwood is better, CEY makes way for team balance. Stats there are misleading also, often slow to react, fumbly and disposal substandard.
Nope. Tonight CEY had 25 touches at 72% DE with 4 turnovers. For comparison, Greenwood 19 touches at 63% but only 2 turnovers. Crouch 32 touches, 75%, 7 turnovers. Gibbs, 71%, 21 touches, 5 turnovers.

And only Greenwood had more score involvements than CEY of that group. His ball use was fine and has been all year.

Nope. Greenwood and M.Crouch better than CEY. If you watch the game, these two are superior by a fair way. End discussion.

I'd drop Gibbs before I dropped CEY based on current performance.

But we'd never do that.

I agree that Greenwood has more impact than CEY. But CEY has been very, very good. He was quality again tonight. I wonder if our 22 is better served by keeping CEY in and giving Bryce Gibbs an outside role. Bryce is one of our top 3 players and so yes, you do lose something in the middle. But we then gain an extra A-grade outside player. I am not sure who goes out though. We are seeing Geelong do it with Danger and Richmond with Dusty. They are sacrificing midfield for another area of the ground. In our case, that might not be full forward, but it could still be a net gain to the 22.

??? Why would we do that? Gibbs has been our best player this year. He was better than CEY tonight as well. Didn't have as much of it as usual, but his disposal was quality.

Occasionally Gibbs throws the ball on the boot and bombs it forward, but geez that would be the only knock on his game.

If Laird wasn't having a career year, he would be leading our B n F.

Gooch was 3rd for pressure acts tonight, also ran a game high KM for us. He was 4th against the Suns (Knight was 14th), and 3rd against the Swans (Knight was 6th).

I thought the last Showdown might have done it. You guys doubled down on the same direction you were headed. Plenty of time to go in the season yet, but you're locked on course for the next few years now.
