Mr Footrot flat footIntangibly Slow Brant!
Excited to see Colledge have a crack, I don't see much WAFL so I have no idea about him other than apparently being slow.
Monfries and Pittard both have French origins I believeI dare say we are the only Club this week with two Frenchman in it !!
That explains alotMonfries and Pittard both have French origins I believe
So you don't rate Shuey?
Why not?
Of course we have a chance, don't be so daft to mock people who are backing their team in - ridiculous to even question it.
Geelong got spanked by Hawks, Freo and Sydney, lost to North, scraped over the line against the Suns and Richmond (who they've beaten about 50 times in a row), and then beat average teams in Carlton and Collingwood.
They might have one of their stronger squads for the year, but I don't think Sheed is currently winning us games and will be missed that much - he's replaceable.
Yeo is obviously the big loss, but it just means others, like I pointed out earlier (LeCras, Cripps etc.) need to fill that void by stepping up to midfield.
This game will be a great test, not only of our depth, but of how far we've come as a squad, I can't wait for it.
He's brilliant at the defensive/pressure/one-percent stuff, but offensively he's limited.
We really just need to get the rest of the mix right in our midfield and use him primarily as a defensive player, and he is a great inclusion into the team. From an offensive perspective, Sheed and Duggan will have him covered in a year or two IMO. But his ability to affect the contest is unmatched by many in the side. Just needs a role and to play within it.
In the way that both are little bitches? That explains alot
I'm sorry, but this is just wrong. As it stands, Selwood is a better player than Sheed and much more important to our side. You also think Selwood is an improvement on Sheed, which is strange considering we've had selwood priddis & co in the centre for more than four years and not been any good, yet when we bring in the youth we suddenly look dangerous and are winning games we weren't expected to win. Sheed on a bad day has better disposal than Selwood, and stands up in a tackle to get it out to his teammates where as Selwood & Priddis are from the panic school of handball & kicking. I'd be pleasantly surprised if we win it, but I don't think we will.
Right at this minute that is debatable, Selwood looked pretty rusty against the saintsI'm sorry, but this is just wrong. As it stands, Selwood is a better player than Sheed and much more important to our side.
But do I expect that to change in seasons ahead? Yes.
His inside work is on a whole level above Sheed's right at the minute. His gameday skills looked a bit rushed and rusty, but if his ankle holds up we'll be such a better side for his attack on the ball; expecting a big game this Sunday from the VC.Right at this minute that is debatable, Selwood looked pretty rusty against the saints
The thing with Selwood is i actually don't think he is naturally that strong, His attack on the ball is good, But if he could break tackles he would be a much more dangerous player, I expect Sheed will be stronger than Selwood after a preseason or two and his inside work will be better than Selwood'sHis inside work is on a whole level above Sheed's right at the minute. Scooter's a real hard-nut and has been known to create space and break tackles (was just about our most dynamic midfielder through '10-'13, with Shue and Kerr bobbing up), whereas Sheed prefers to take that extra second to make his decisions. In this regard you've got 2 inside players with very different games. The thing with Selwood is i actually don't think he is naturally that strong, His attack on the ball is good, But if he could break tackles he would be a much more dangerous player, I expect Sheed will be stronger than Selwood after a preseason or two and his inside work will be better than Selwood's

When selwood breaks tackles it's when he has pace on, When he's stationary in the centre he finds it hard to get hands free etc but he does try his hardestScooter's a real hard-nut and has been known to create space and break tackles (was just about our most dynamic midfielder through '10-'13, with Shue and Kerr bobbing up), whereas Sheed prefers to take that extra second to make his decisions. I agree that with a couple more years in the gym Sheed will be a very dangerous clearance player, but people are overrating the kid's season so far. He's been ok.
In 2011, first few weeks of 2012 Selwood was an offensive weapon, and for the first 6 weeks of the year was arguably the in-form mid of the competition, was gunning it. I'm hoping he can recapture some of that form.
Naitanui to Selwood was a deadly combo.
Hopefully he gets his agility back as that video showed.
He is a classy mover in traffic.
Just need him to kick well.
