Been a number of failed LTs that had good long careers as LGs. If he can be salvaged as such, better than outright cutting them (Raiders Leatherwood), tho you have him now, so maybe he gets salvaged to a decent RG

Yep, wanted Panthers to take him in the second round, too smart for me clearly!....shame they traded back (and then up again) to take an equally big of a bust in Terrace Marshall so its been no different

Bears have a very good D, always do, and Lance's first start should be hairy imo, so theres a chance for an upset...or at worst, a very close loss.

Bears have an ok d. Smith, Jackson and Johnson are only really difference makers on defense.

I don't think it will be as close as you think it will be.

D is talented even tho short of household names, but the Bears are always a good D regardless, thats their modus operandi.

Lance is green, hes not gonna light up the NFL year one. Bears DC will throw a ton of stuff at him.

So i see a game where both teams are stifling D and relying on the run game which is ripe for a close low scoring result.

Lance is green and will be managed, Fields is only year two and has no receivers

I love your optimism GG and I know you hope we do well , but the bears are flat out tanking this year.
I have zero expectations and honestly just hope Fields doesn’t get annihilated out there physically or mentally development wise. While I understand what they’re trying to do , I can’t help but think it’s a bit negligent to put a young guy into this situation

Same, I think they want a new stadium that can hold different events all year round (hence the dome) to make more money... Cant see them renovating soldier field for the second time in 20 years. Its always been about the money with the McCaskey children

Agree but they still are banging on about Da Bears are too tough for a dome cliche bollocks.
Be another short sighted move if they don’t do it. It will make the stadium a user unfriendly experience for 8 months of the year if they don’t.

It'll be a close game at least. Packers struggling in some areas, but I'm anticipating a bounce back game over the Besrs . But like say 20-10 or 17-14, not a 38-3 shemozzle. But a close game could go the other way too. So i have very little confidence either way

Unfortunately I think they belt us too. Sharon doesn’t have his usual top shelf receivers is my only slither. Having said that the ones they have are clearly better than ours.
