The subtext I'm getting from a lot of the interviews I've seen is that the organisation really want Caleb to step up. From Poles, Warren, Johnson, and Kmet - they all sound like they're of the opinion he didn't put as much work in as he could've during his rookie year. I guess he was in a terrible situation and it was his first year as a pro, but hopefully the new coaching team can get the best out of him.

Not so sure about that.
The most sacked QB in the league thrust into utter chaos and shambles in his first pro season. Between the coaching and the line tasked with defending the face of the franchise I tend to give him a pass.

I agree with you. He was in a shocking situation and had a really good rookie season. Gets more than a pass from me. I think others are harsh on him because of the comparison to Daniels.

This is just the vibe I'm getting from interviews with the power brokers at Halas Hall.

I dont mind setting the bar higher … he does need to evolve and improve as well if we are going to challenge in the division let alone the competition.
I was just saying I wouldn’t hold him responsible for the poor year considering the absolute circus the organization was last season.
Expectation should be higher now
