Master O'Reilly will prove his class and love of Flemington. He sleeps on that track and runs is so sweetly. He will round the bend about 4 lengths back and put in a sustained 400m run and go over the top of the front runners. This horse has a lot of improvement to come from his CC win, it will be good to see just how good he is. I rate him extremely highly.

I just put 6 bets on for the Melbourne cup and I'm in 2 sweeps.
Someone kill me before I waste anymore money.

For the firsts time in years, I'm not in a sweep, nor I plan on having a bet this year. In fact, I could not care less. Not sure why...

Anyway, booked in today to go horseriding, for a trail ride at 1pm on Tuesday. So I doubt I'll even be home in time to watch the race.

PS. FINALLY.. AFTER MONTHS.. well weeks... OF WAITING THE GEELONG BOX SET DVD IS OUT PEOPLES. ****, I cannot wait to sit down and watch the matches. Even see for the first time, the post match celebrations!!! :thumbsu:

Exactly!
My legs never hurt during the beep test though, my throat always did. I don't know why.

My throat hurting, was the first sign of an asthma attack. (Luckily I've only had a handful in my life). Maybe that's what it was the start of?

Are you looking at your Geelong calender? It's the month that has Henry Playfair at the top. :)

LMAO. Nah, Stripes its the page with Kent Kingsley on it!!!

I like the beep test too. Not much fun during it though of course!

I love trashing the hell out of my body from running. It's very satisfying when when you hit PB's.

Agree, but sometimes your body just can't do what it refuses to do. Anyway, I preferred the sprint (ie 50M) and the flexibility test. If there was ever a part of the fitness tests that was "likeable" .

Also... Running is bad, and if you do it for fun, you're a freak.

That is the smartest thing you've said in awhile Liza, lol. Agree.

Errr yeah i'm pretty sure everyone and their mums have been there. Where were you?

My mate and I stayed at a hostel in London.. guess who my mate sees walking down Lygon St, after we got back? Yup, a girl who stayed in our room in that hostel. Small world.

Ah i love those 'small world" coincidences!

Any Ferrari fans here would've gone to the ferrari expo on Lygon in march.... any fans here? lol..

Lol, I did not get that "car gene". Everyone in my family knows everything about cars (ie. Dad, brothers, cousins, uncles), but not me. When they have a conversation about cars (which is often), I switch off my brain and just nod politely.

I take it you're an F1 fan?

Yeah i'm a pretty hardcore F1 fan. Haven't missed watching a race in 3 years. Considering they're on at 2am monday mornings... Helped me relax throughout VCE. :D

You watch any races? Just the Australian race? Follow Webber? :thumbsu:

Lol, did you not read my last post about my brain switching off and the nodding politely, etc?? I know as much about cars as I do F1, as I do golf as I do cricket... ;)

And Webber? Yeah thats a great BBQ. Makes some real tasty food that does. Great invention. :D

I think my brothers are more into rally car racing. I think he's even done it himself.. he has a Ford Escort.. well had one. A guy today came around to the house to buy it. Why am i telling you this??

Sorry i get carried away when someone mentions F1..

I think you're thinking of a Weber, personally i prefer cooking a BBQ on a hot plate, positioned above an open fire... call me archaic!

Not quite sure why you're telling me about you're brothers.. but cool :thumbsu: Wish i had brothers

Being an only child would be boring though...

Can anyone who actually is an only child verify this??

I'd imagine it'd be brilliant.
24/7 TV privileges.. no nagging or annoying siblings.. more presents at Christmas and birthdays..

Sounds great to me. :thumbsu:

Oldest grandchild on both sides of the family.

Not really...they torture me by being socially inept and liking things such as World of Warcraft and wrestling.

And so they should. :p

Ah, I suppose it worked both ways. (sometimes). For instance, when I was a kid, I could just start crying when ever I wanted to. (Even if I wasnt that hurt or nothing). Therefore it was pretty easy to get my brothers into trouble. ;)
