And thanks to you I can’t sleep either until I find out what has changed. Which is going to be tricky since I don’t have a totally clear picture of what we started with.
Oh I don't know what has changed specifically

But I can pretend now and sleep

No. Pretty much spot on but with legible writing

You needn’t worry. I write lots of notes, screw them into a ball and fling them so the cats can entertain themselves for a bit and leave me alone

At times cats can be entertained by the most unorthodox of objects, like scrunched up pieces of paper and lint, then you buy them a pretty extravagant cat tower for $150, take almost 2 hours assembling it only for them to play with the cardboard box instead. You're puzzled but there is something that says "at least they're playing with something". Eventually they do play with the tower itself.

Tell her happy birthday from some rando on the internet!
Do you have a present? Then your words mean dick!! She’s a sassy 9 yo!

She made me take her to Sephora tonight to buy a $28 lip gloss!

I am so ****ed! 😭😭

I’m an early school leaver big time. I don’t hate the system but I do think it needs to be a bit more thoughtful and flexible. Totally on board with your winter holiday idea.
Agreed. The school system needs an overhaul, too much of "sit down, shut up, do as your told" way too much abstract learning and not enough creativity.

So hitting double digits tomorrow then?

I could deposit 1,000,000 dollars in her account?

I mean I could…

This is entirely true.

The bad bit is I still have two cardboard cartons in the lounge which look shit but I can’t get rid of them until the cats are finally bored with them

Not sure I’ve ever spent $28 on lip gloss for myself

Hope it’s a damn good lip gloss

My cat never really cared about the cat toys bought for her, but she’d love to dig up potatoes from the yard, pens & pen lids were a favorite and kinda keeping tradition from growing up there was a bowl of nuts (walnuts, almonds etc) that would be on the bench with the nut cracker - so those became mini soccer balls she’d kick around the house when she was able to grab them

After she passed away, I was cleaning up and moved a couple of lounge chairs - there was a lot more stuff under them then I realised, and it even included a golf ball or two that she somehow carried in her mouth

Ah. You had a cat that carries things.

I’ve got one of them. Weird how stuff moves around at night.
