It is pretty funny that the Vics are trumpeting his successes now, implying that he should probably be Australia's next full-time opener, when a year ago you would have been hard-pressed to find one Vic saying he deserved his spot. Bet Bill Lawry will be talking about it in the Adelaide Test as well...

Yeah, who would have thought that Victorian fans would take more interest in him and be more aware of his success now that he is playing for Victoria Whatever next.

**** you Rogers.
**** you D. Hussey

**** all the other former Sandgropers who are now and never be ever recognized as a Sandgroper ever again.

David Hussey had every right to leave. You can't expect a class player like that to be happy playing district cricket every week

If your selectors didn't **** both over, they'd still be there.

So direct your anger at your selectors, not the players who were forced out.

Considering he's currently in better form than some of the current Aussie top order, it's no surprise we are mentioning him. He's the form batsman at domestic level right now.

True. I'm surprised he left Victoria.

He was infuriatingly average at Victoria. Moving to SA has kick-started his career in a way that wouldn't have happened had he stayed at Victoria.

Well done to Chris Rogers. Great to see him ton up twice in two innings and get Victoria home.

Was he averaging 89?

Tosser.

Im sure most know the back story as to why David Hussey left WA, can't fault Dussey or Rogers leaving this dumb ass WACA.

I do find it funny that lots of Victorian supporters think he is in the best form of his career. They know he has won state player of the year before right?

Sigh we never gave Rogers a real chance at ODD level

Yes it is hilarious.

Um, Chris himself has said that he is in the best form of his career right now, and his record of 621 runs @ 89 supports that.

Not so much funny as accurate.

Not meaning to be picky, but hasn't WA's bowling attack in recent years been dominated by a bunch of ex-Queenslanders. Players go where they perceive they will get the greatest opportunity.

It was disappointing that Rogers left, but that is where he saw his best opportunity. Even though he has been a run machine over the years, I can't recall too many times where he has won a game off his own bat.

Have a look at his 2006/2007 season.

First Class
06/07 - 1202 @ 70.70, 7 50s, 3 100s
08/09 - 621 @ 88.71, 2 50s, 3 100s

One Dayers
06/07 - 100 @ 20.00, 0 50s, 0 100s
08/09 - 265 @ 53.00, 3 50s, 0 100s

Your point being?

Yep and they haven't mentioned a couple of Victorian quicks who have headed over there in recent years.

Yes and I reckon he's in better form than he was when he won. It's not just that he's making runs at the moment, because he's been a run scorer wherever he has played at domestic level. It's the way he's going about it that's impressing me. He looks to have thrown off the shackles and is going for his scores with a more aggressive mindset than I have witnessed previously.
