Took Danger out of the game in the 3rd quarter. Unbelievable. He started Danger forward in the 2017 prelim vs the Crows and the game was over in 10 minutes
Yep. As time goes on that dominant Danger forward display against the Hawks has been a bad thing for the Cats. Instead of him being a midfielder that drifts down forward and takes defenders by surprise, Scott insists on leaving him camped at FF for long stretches. It’s predictable and leaves their best ball winner away from the midfield for too long.

I suppose you could argue he must be doing something right to have Geelong there abouts most years but can't argue with the critique of selection and positional moves tonight, quite bizarre.

I am not saying you are right, or wrong... but what you you think we're the main reasons for the loss?
Beaten by a better side. I thought it was our coaching team that navigated our way to a half time lead. Norm Smith couldn’t have halted the tigers momentum in the third. People need to remember they were paying as short as $1.30 tonight. To have the insight to counter what was a lopsided contest on paper and put us in a strong position at half time was excellent coaching. But it’s easy to take pot shots. Scott’s made his blunders this year but informed football followers would realise the counter argument tonight.

Richmond are a better team and once they got going they just overpowered them. Maybe there wasn’t much the coach could do to change things. They got a lot closer than I thought they would and the game plan of ball control really put the Tigers off their game for the first half. Unfortunately for them a different Richmond came out after half time.

However the Blicavs move was just stupidity. Only guy who has the size and ability to play on Lynch and they decided to play a 33 year old on his last legs on him.

Never really got the Blicavs can play anywhere hype. Key defense is the first position he has really looked comfortable and plays a really solid job down there which allows the others to zone off and play off him. Just don’t think he impacts the game around the ground.

I think they are just not that good a side. Not his fault tonight.
This

Certainly has his flaws (every coach does ) but considering the teams he’s bern getting up to contention most years think he’s actually doing a decent job.

Seriously go through their best 22.
Pretty average side sprinkled with a few stars.

Oh and wouldn’t take too much what the OP says as intelligent

I’ve read his “conspiracy thoughts”on the Willie Rioli case

Laughable , is putting it mildly

Good players who are asked to sacrifice for their team, such as playing a different position or role, often miss out on AA selection.

Geelong have probably had more All Australian selections in the last decade than any other team.

They had a fair bit of the game today. They just stuffed it with coaching moves if you ask me

How do you go into a game and not play Bilcavs on Lynch? Like I think my 8 year old cousin would spot that, see it is wrong and put Bilcavs on him, why cant Scott

Scotts lack of plan B isnt a knowledge thing, its a arrogance thing. The guy refuses to admit he is wrong or made a wrong decision. He would rather sink with the wrong decision like Bilcavs then correct it mid game. The guy is just genuinely awful and his attitude is a key reason for it
Smartest man in the room is Chris Scott, and he will let you know that

The only reason they are always there about is they are gifted wins at their velodrome

Like Blicavs playing on the wing? Or Dangerfield playing forward last year? Or Selwood playing wing this year so some younger players could play more inside minutes?

Don’t think that’s the issue.
