I have it on good authority that Tarrent wants out.

Yes, I have read that tarrants manager has stated that tarrant would rather be traded but would be happy to stay.

Pies are more likely to deal with Sydney considering this 2nd pick offer as they may offer Amon Buchanan (who I read on Bigfooty, that he wishes to return to Melbourne) + their 1st pick no. 15.

It's handy for the Pies as neither WCE, Freo or Swans would want Tarrant to go to any of those teams.

Pies will want at least a 1st round pick for Tarrant IMO.

we'll see. I think it will pan out differently to what people think.
What do you mean?

I can't see Tarrant going for less than a 1st round pick + a player.

It depends on how keen Collingwood are to move Tarrant on.

Are they aggressively shopping him, or are they merely listening to offers?

I could see Tarrant going to Sydney, They love those big name players, would probably raise membership. He'll be the new poster boy. It's making me sick already. 1st round pick and player. Roos will say they didn't give up the 1st pick lightly and that Tarrant was too good an opportunity to miss.

Surely the Swans couldn't pick up Tarrant and Everitt.

Whilst Tarrant would be a very handy acquisition to the Sydney side , if I was a supporter of the Swans I would be worried if it involved a first round pick.

It would mean that for the third year in a row they would have traded their first round draft pick. This is a policy that is fraught with danger. you have to restock the larder.

Hope so, as trading Taz should only be in order to make a quantum leap on our list development. Neither another second round pick, nor a "youngster" will do that - at the cost of losing Taz. He is a pain for other teams to mark; sometimes a painful pleasure to his supporters; sometimes brilliant and matchwinning; was fifth in league with goal assists I think this year (oops, or was that Didak); and the goalkicking yips after his good early years seem more to do with his recently opening space between the ears - a psych could do the anti=pressure thing and "you can do great things/ be confident/ even kick confidently straight even without the amber lifestyle".

These things can be worked out. MM may not synch with Taz (or vice versa) but we don't need to throw away the flawed genius painting to gain two cheap imitations.

yeah id be disappointed as an eagles fan if it was one of these two. unfortunately i didnt get more info on who the possible player could be.

My money would be on Rosa. However, I think the Pies will still want that first rounder. Maybe to even the deal in WCs favour slightly it could be:

Rosa and 1st rounder

for

Tarrant and 3rd rounder (or possibly 4th rounder).

Morton will not be leaving W.A. Staker is a strong chance.

That's a shame as I like Staker, I'm still confident he'll come good. However if we were to trade for Tarrant, he would effectively take Staker's spot in the side. I'd give Staker at least 1 more year, trading him could come back and bite us in the ass IMO, would much rather trade Rosa tbh, although I can't see it happening.

I got a inkling Tarrant wouldnt move that far away from his home. Eagles wouldnt make a offer until everyone else has. I would think Rosa is a no go. Rosa wouldnt leave the club even if the club wanted him to go. Morton wouldnt leave either. LeCras is needed. Best option therefore is something along the lines of Pick 16+ 30ish.

Theres no doubt in my mind Eagles have more salary cap room then Fremantle would. Will be interesting to see what happens

Freo are more aggressive at the trade table though. What makes me feel comfortable is we know Woosha won't pay over the odds for players, so if Freo are keen on Tarrant (like they were Josh Carr), we will not get sucked into a bidding war, despite having more salary cap room IMO.

I definitely think Staker is worth 2 more years, he has heaps of potential. Just needs to deliver.

yeh I agree, but recruiting Tarrant will definately hinder Staker's development, unless he's off the other way. If in fact we are shopping Staker around, we must be pretty sure of landing a KPP or 2.

Eagles are going to be damn hard to beat the next few years. Baring major injury to Judd, Kerr or Cousins they may challenge for Lions 3 in a row.

If they get Tarrant, put some money on it.

If Freo get him, it will improve Freo quite a bit. Enough to win a flag?

I don't know.
