Traded Chris Yarran [to Richmond for Pick 19]

Our list management should not concern you - you have to win a final before throwing dirt at other clubs - which you have not done in almost a generation.

Your second point could not be truer. The seller has the asset and in the end says yay or nay.

If you owned a house and put it up for sale for $500k and the buyer offers $400k - you obviously tell the buyer you need to do better and the buyer walks away with nothing.

Typically when under contract no matter the scenario the bid is usually higher than its intrinsic value..and Yarran is contracted.

SOS has already said "he is contracted and needs to be a good pick"

Wasn't throwing mud pinot...not my style. I had an IF right upfront and I don't believe the Blues would let that scenario play out. I, along with others from both clubs on here, find it hilarious how some make statements as if they are directly involved in the trades. As THE_GUN said, this will get done in an amicable way by Silvagni and Richardson. Neither have made outlandish or bold statements. They've both been measured in the words they've used and Richardson has even stated on record that Carlton's request for a first rounder is fair.

I don't care if Yarran doesn't get traded. We need him more than you do - the only reason I want him traded is to help him to find another club because he wants other opportunities and we should help him. If he stays which I prefer he does I think he will be fine by second week of pre season training when whips are cracking.

Your signature shows you are abit of a dirt thrower,

Looks like Yarran will be playing for Carlton 2016 under new coach Bolton . Richmond told Carlton that's the best deal they have up to Carlton most likely they will rejected. Hope the young lad plays good footy 2016 blues.

Unless of course if the house was over priced, ongoing issues, didn't appreciate as expect, a liability, a lot of work put into it for mediocre return. Owner needs the funds to aquire other assets.A risk the asset will dwindle further in future market...

Then you sell at a realistic price or you are holding on to stone

I know which is the right business decision...

Areiane katse frwnima.

What we do with our asset is our business not yours.

If we want to hold onto Chris that's our business. He has the opportunity to put in a big year and win himself a very nice contract. Way above the current $450k which he will get at the Tigers.

The ball is in his court; we can only help him achieve it.

think a deal won't get done either - but one thing, after months of working on this trade, was richmond's entire trade strategy built on offering their second rounder & that's it?

mayb u might get him in 12 months time, but wouldn't like be Tiges telling yaz " we like you, but you're not worth more than pick 31 in a weak draft."

This is all getting to difficult, leave him to rot at Carlton for another 12 months then he will be worth nothing. I reckon he might give football away than play at Carlton again. Can you blame him....

Richmond can't get a pick to satisfy Carlton plus Richmond working on another player and more likely will know in the next 48 to 72hrs.
Most likely pick 12 and next year first or second round 2016 will be used .

Lol. Richmond want yarran and have for more than 6 months now.
Who's this other player then?

As a neutral on this one, it seems to be the only trade that doesn't seem to be progressing. It's a tough one, one week he's worth a top 10 pick, next a third rounder. I think that is why Richmond are unwilling to gamble.

IMHO either Tigers shut their eyes and go 'all in' or move on.

I love it how Richmond fans say Yarran will be 'worthless' next year after we let him 'rot' in the reserves for the season, yet they acknowledge that they will pick him up next year anyway.

That in itself tells me Yarran will still be worth a second rounder next year. It seems that no matter how bad he gets, he will still have a suitor.

He couldn't tell me it was discussed over the weekend between Richmond and a certain club that play finals football this year the only clue he gave me. It's up to the club to let him go and it's in their court . They are thinking about it that's all I know .

So "thinking about it" means shut the thread?

Most likely we will be moving on unfortunately I hope he plays well for his new coach. I always thought under circumstances his between pick 19-26 we just couldn't agree good luck guys in 2016 it will be good for footy to see you guys climb back to power house .

I just can't fathom how he is worth any sort of first round pick.
Seen him play?

Yeah inconsistently for his entire career.

One moment blistering for 50m runs before drilling passes or goals. The next not getting a touch for 3 quarters or shanking Clangers through the corridor.

He's got definite skill, ability and pace though. I'd value him between 20-30. Quickly ask Carlton if this was about right. Get a firm no and move on to someone else.
