Thoughts.

1. GWS won't miss out on Wingard, too classy, they'll deprive Port of taking him.

2. Brisbane require height and are keen on Tomlinson. GWS would hope they skip on him just to fill their needs, but Brisbane will go for someone they require, more than the best available option.

3. Ravaged with torn hamstrings, Kavanagh was an apparent top five pick at the start of 2011, GWS can afford the risk, and will deprive Essendon, Fremantle, North Melbourne or Richmond from snaring him. Could become the best player from this draft.

4. Can release Deledio off half back, smooth soldier, great kick and will definitely be on Hardwick's radar.

5. My smokey for a higher-than-usual draft choice. I know Essendon have Watson as their specialist inside midfielder, but Waldhuter will add depth to weak midfield. We saw how the Bombers struggled without Watson, they'll need atleast 8-9 solid players rotating throughout the midfield and currently have 5-6 decent ones.

6. Carlton would be hoping Elton could slip to 22, can become their 1st forward option and play alongside Kruezer in the ruck too.

7. Frost I'd say is rather underrated, can definitely play as a second forward option for a few seasons, could be this years Jack Darling.

Eight mids to GWS on top of what they have already previously signed?

Word.

"2. Brisbane require height and are keen on Tomlinson. GWS would hope they skip on him just to fill their needs, but Brisbane will go for someone they require, more than the best available option."

A more accurate paragraph would be

2. GWS require height and are keen on Tomlinson. Brisbane would hope they skip on him just to fill their needs, but GWS will go for someone they require, more than the best available option.

Just to add to this, you have GWS taking 2 talls. They would now be seriously lacking in talls and be relying on drafting lesser quality talls later in the National and Rookie drafts. No chance of that happening.
