Do we just want to do a rookie draft and take 1 player for each club?
Why don't you put number. Then RD, then with each club listed in the current order and give them 2 each.

That should fill it out to about the correct amount....give or take 3 or 4 either way

We could do a rookie draft with 18 picks.

Rookie Draft

1. Richmond
There were 23 Rookie picks last year including Cat B plus of course the 64 main draft selections. So 87.

We are up to 58 now, so two rookies per club will take us to 84 which seems about right if we want to cover a similar number to 2023.

I'm just really keen to see some speculative picksas I reckon there will be a few in the real draft later this year.

Rookie Draft

Pick 1 - Richmond - Cody Angove - 183cms - Utility

Was surprised to see him still here, but such is the nature of the draft depth this year. There are still a bunch of players I really want!
Cody usually plays down in the forward line but can play the wing and across halfback really well with his skillset. He takes the game on and is super fast, he has very good ball use and usually links up in plays, has high assists in scores for his team but runs both ways hard. I really like the way he plays and he has a team first mentality which I also like a lot.

Up next roos_fanatic08 for North.

Rookie Draft

Pick 2 - North Melbourne - Evan Bradley - North Adelaide - 174cm.

North desperately need a talened small forward that who has speed and defensive pressure. While Bradley is still raw, he has natural goal sense, X-factor, agility and closing speed. A fantastic combination of attributes that should hold him in good stead as a developing small forward. When he plays up the ground, he can find the ball and distribute inside 50, which highlights that he has a few strings to his bow. At this stage he needs to improve his strength, and at times, his decision making ball in hand.

Was a tough pick as there is plenty of talent still on my list of draft able players.

Monocle WC are up.

Rookie Draft.

Pick - 3 - West Coast - Evan Smith - Swan Districts - 201 cm - KPP/Ruck.

I have taken him as he is the best ruck in the Colts competition.

Position wise he isn't a real immediate need for WC, but I did want to get his name out there.
He is a top ager and I was a little surprised that he wasn't rookie listed last year because for a kid so tall he has great athleticism and covers the ground really well with decent leg speed.

I think he will be a late bloomer and he is the sort of project player that can, given some time in the system, become a bit of hidden gem. He is still quite gangly and will need time to develop but he has good skills and smarts for a tall, I just think he could be a handy player once he matures physically.

LemmingMaster Saints are up next.

Rookie Draft Pick 4 - Lucca Grego

This is a case of a versatile player in the championships playing out of position for the sake of team chemistry. Grego has the ability to provide some great run and carry. His delivery into the forward 50 for the Jets is a highlight and has leadership when on the field, great weight to his kicks allowing players to run onto the ball. Has a great physical shape for AFL level and is too strong for a number of under 18's players.

Hopefully he likes Unwin 😂

Reckon you can pick PMBangers for suns
He better or else.

We need a nifty small forward with good speed, agility and neat skills not to mention footy smarts with Rankine likely to be playing more midfield.
