If he keeps on playing games like last couple of weeks, could Jeremy Cameron win the Brownlow?

That’s what most ppl say. Lockett won one. Not that JC is Lockett. But JC is an exceptional player.
He is.
And that was a while back. Think there is just too much competition from mids for a key forward to win it.
Daicos would be more of a chance than JC

top 10 last year were mids.
Curnow
Lynch
Cameron
Hawkins

were the top coleman leaders with 59-64 goals, and nowhere near the brownlow

Umpires just dont view forwards as being the infuencing factor in games, usually its come from dominant performances from mids.

Reckon I agree with you. Just thought JC might stand out more in this Cats team (vs last year) where if Cats have in between year but he continues to star, might pick up some more than normally would as a forward.

I'm sure he'll def pick up fair few votes, but probably won't be consistently week in and out. He may get the most from his team though.

Dunstall got very close a few times as well. But those days 20 votes would win you the Brownlow - so 8 big games from a full forward gave them a shot. These days 30+ votes wins it - they'd need to kick 12 big bags for the year.

He’s the best player in the competition by some distance so far. His game in the Qualifying Final and games against Carlton and then this week have been Carey like. The Brownlow is a joke. I’m surprised he’s not higher on the coaches award to be honest, which is the real indicator of who the best player in the comp is.

Happens to us regularly. We win the game but BOG goes to an opposition player.
The one that was the most wrong last year imo was Oliver’s 3 votes against us in the second Melbourne game last year. He racked heaps of the ball up and played well but the 3 votes should’ve been De Goey’s.

He won the game off his own boot and didn’t get a vote

Collingwood leaderboard:

  1. Nick Daicos - 25
  2. De Goey - 20
  3. Josh Daicos - 10
  4. Cameron - 8
  5. Pendlebury - 5
If the coaches votes are any indicator to go by, these two are going to steal a shitload of Brownlow votes off of each other.

It’ll be almost as bad as Trac and Oliver on current form.

It's always the mids in the coaches award too. As a forward, it's just nigh on impossible to star as consistently as the top mids do.
