From what I understand this entire series was based off a tongue in cheek youtube video a few years back that portrayed Daniel as the true bully in the karate kid.

Its been a great redemption story for Johnny.

Even though I think there is only meant to be 6 seasons of this new show, Im confident that the characters created today will be rebooted in years to come.

Given whats at stake this season, I get the feeling neither dojo will win the tournament.

It will probably lead to another tournament in the final season of this show.

I dont think either Club will win the tournament, I think it will be definitely another dojo. I mean why not?

It makes sense, if Miyagi wins then Cobra leaves, if Cobra wins, Miyagi leaves. Thats realistically the only two outcomes which fans guess would happen, but Cobra Kai likes to throw curve balls.

A new dojo winning, allows the story to take a completely different turn and extend into s5 and even allowing another tournament to take place in it.

I dont think so, from what I can understand from what I can recall the seasons are meant to be very close together without any time skips.

So the series which stated in 2018, filmed in 2017 is meant to mirror this time.

Corona was raised about it effecting plots etc and I know for a certainty its not an issue for season 4 at least.

IIRC there will be probably two more seasons left for this show after s4.

I presume s4 tournament finale, s5 something else, s6 will finish with tournament, most likely.

I thought the same.

I think they have done this to deliberately hide some potential story lines. I think a 2nd trailer will reveal a little more.

I think Mike Barnes does appear and they want to keep this under wraps. Much like how Daniel got shocked when he saw Kreese was alive, he will be even more shocked to see Barnes turn up out of no where.

Expect some mention of Julie Pierce in this season too.

What you saw earlier is a teaser trailer, a few months back.

Not being pedantic, thats just how they roll.

There is meant to be a second trailer coming out closer to release date.

I don't care what the label says, it was three minutes of new footage, it wasn't a teaser.

Lacking in Cobra Kai humour? I'm not sure.

Using an old song.
Johnny displaying outdated behaviours.
Johnny drinking at inappropriate times.
Johnny using questionable dangerous training.
Johnny quoting old movies.

Most of the staples are there.

It's season four and last season was the one where it really cracked in to mainstream. They're gonna start playing closer to the chest rather than season one and two which were happy to lay most of the plot out in trailers.
