Sorry to upset your plans but Griff has been injured:mad: It happened in the first quarter when a serial hospital passer sent a kick into the FP making Griff wait an eternity for it to arrive. In the meantime a weak dog of an ex-North hack pushed Griffs hips like a train as he launched himself off the ground to take the mark. It was probably the worst case of 'tunnelling' I have ever seen! He showed enormous courage to take the mark. He was escorted down the race straight after he recovered from the massive connect he made with the ground.

2 things:

1/He looked a class above prior to this happening and should be brought back into the AFL when he is fit. If it had happened in the firsts the dog who did it would get 5 weeks.
2/ The AFL/VFL should start rubbing blokes out for 10 weeks in order to stop this scourge.

Posty was one of the best for us up to the time I left (half-time).

PS. Just heard from a mate that he may only have a concussion. That is good if true considering the impact. I did though see him holding his back walking down the race.

Thanks for the info. Pity you had to leave early.

Tugga, to tell you the truth I was that pissed=off with what happened I had to. I felt like garrotting the prick who did that weak act! BTW, we were leading when I left.

Don't think those bests could have actually been better from a Richmond point of view. The players we have wanted to stand up have stood up.

Went again this week. Two weeks in a row for me! Just missed the first quarter today.

The conditions were really good contrary to the week before. It was very windy at all and the temperature was perfect. Bit of rain at half time but nothing to make it overly slippery.

Post: Played mainly FB and a bit of CHB. Was really vocal and I think his job was to set up where everyone would stand when the ball was coming in. His foot disposal was quite good, hit a few targets but missed a 25m pass under no pressure to a player with no pressure. Did well on the 1 on 1's didn't get beaten too often. Would sometimes try and mark rather than punch aswell.

Thursfield: Played in a back pocket, FB / CHB sort of setup. Rotated a bit with Post. Thought he wasn't too bad. Used the ball OK besides one bad kick to the middle of the ground which should have resulted in a turnover goal. Wasn't really damaging (ie hasn't changed his game from what we're used to).

Jakobi: Not sure what number he was, so can't comment.

Morton: Don't think he should be in the bests like above. Didn't have much impact. Missed quite an easy goal. Didn't really present too much as a Full Forward. Played on the ball for a little while but I don't think he got too much of it. Not ready for a recall IMO.

Tuck: Goes in so hard and gives 100%. Have to applaud him for the way he's conducted himself in the VFL. He should be in for Richmond. Tackles hard, used it well, got a few clearances. Rested in the forward line, but not for long.

Nason: Was good again. Better than last week too. Used the ball very well and got a fair bit of it (perhaps 25+ at a guess). Mainly played on the wing / HBF. Really impressive, tackles hard and got tackled hard.

Graham: Much better than last week although the conditions suited him much better this week. Won at least 90% of the hitouts I'd say against Magak Daw. Beat him around the ground too. Disposal was OK / average at times but nothing too bad.

That's about it. Coburg were in it for 3 quarters and then got blown away in the last. They lacked a focal point up forward, I think. Didn't see Griffiths at all.

Any questions, let me know!

Harding should have been reported on the spot for that, I find it hard to believe that he wasnt. It was a back breaking type of incident, really Griffiths is lucky if he's just concussed. It was basically a tunnelling incident, which is frowned upon at AFL level, the VFL need to apply the same degree of punishent.

Yep i for one applaud him and wish him well cementing a top notch career in that league...He should be in for Coburg..Tackles hard, used it well, got a few clearances..and you suggest he should be in for Richmond yeah? I mean WTF? How about thinking about it this way, how many senior games has he played? Probably the most senior player on the ground no? Now if i were a betting man, someone that had all the shits and giggles requiired to make it a AFL level would have had some influence on a VFL game if he could exert any influence...when are you fools ever going to get with the program...he is a top player in sides around 13th and 14th and below...right down to VFL. ;)

Did Griff come out of the rooms later?

RFCtigerarmy's got it pretty right, was at the game and that's pretty accurate

Tuck - 37 disposals - battled hard all day, really can't say he could've done much more
Post - 27 touches, 14 marks - definitely the best game i reckon i've seen him play for Coburg, stood up for most of the match
Nason - 24 touches - worked hard all day
Graham had an entertaining ruck duel with Daw and McIntosh, tough ask but he did an alright job, not many silly free kicks either
Morton - 10 touches and 3 goals, missed one he needed to get in the last that would've brought the margin in early in the quarter
Jakobi - 19 touches i think, stepped up from last week, which was great to see
Griffiths was unlucky, looked good early on, then pure stupidity from Harding and he suffered from it badly
Thursfield was solid too, good return

In the reserves Hicks was really good, finally showed some exciting signs and kicked a good goal at the start of the second quarter, D-Mac was quiet but did do some good team things
