One of them is Hine, doubt he's eligible.

Even if he is you'd have to worry about the bias in picking himself up.

Mind you he hasn't had much exposure to the elite junior pathways, so could be a Hine special.

Hine is a hard worker but decision-making is poor. Exactly the type of recruit Dekka would select.

I really wish the club would just name these players so we know who & how many we have to bid for in the 2018 2nd round.

Knightmare obviously has some knowledge of who’s in our academy...

Part of the Collingwood Next Generation academy, Thariel Ter, 186cm, 62kg, who will be draft eligible in 2019, also showed several glimpses. Ter displayed a promising mix of attributes, on one play picking up the ball cleanly in traffic, accelerating then finding a short target inside 50m. On another play, he took a mark by arriving at the last moment from the side, before finding another target inside the forward 50m.

I haven’t heard of most 16 year old players. 186cm with 1-2 years growing left in him if he’s a 2019 prospect. Could end up a pretty good size!

Reef McInnes, Will Kelly, ?, IQ, Atu, Piers McDermott, Bailey Wraith (from left to right)
Reef is only going into the 16's programme. All the others are in the 18's.
Piers won the Colts (under 17) player of the year in 2017 for the YJFL. Bailey was the outstanding ruckman in the APS as a bottom ager (only yr 12 in 2018) but is really KP size (195).
It will be interesting to see how they all pan out. Piers won't play in 2018 due to knee reconstruction at the end of the 17 season.
